Stopping lessons is like trying to cancel a gym membership. I was a student for 1 year and 3 months, good instruction but pre-paying for inflexible lessons a month in advance AND having a 30-day withdrawal notice makes it so expensive to stop lessons if your classes at college start to ramp up suddenly. Also my lessons were online-only, at this point I would suggest just finding a UF music major whose doing lessons on the side, it'll be way cheaper and in-person and quality will be as good if not better for a beginner anyways...

I take voice lessons every week with Kim Peterson and I have only the highest praises to give her. I took a period of three years where I stopped singing, until I stumbled upon the Academy's website and they matched me with Kim. I was very nervous as I was out of practice, but Kim made me feel very comfortable and truly caught me up to par. My voice has grown immensely due to Kim's very precise and meticulous vocal techniques, and my vocal health has never been better. She always helps fine tune even the smallest details. Not only does she help your voice grow, she also has a talent in picking songs that will suit your voice in order to have your own portfolio. Kim doesn't only take care of her students, she takes care of their voices too most importantly! Highly recommend.

I am fortunate to have found Christian Paillan as my violin instructor. I looked long and hard for a decent violin teacher in Ocala to no avail, and lost nearly a year in starting the violin because of it. Christian’s excellence as a teacher shows in his great attention to detail and ensuring overall correct positions from head to toe. His passion for the violin is inspiring and he makes my driving from Ocala to Gainesville for my weekly lessons the most rewarding commitment in playing the violin.
