Ramon Theatre is a historic and charming venue located in Frostproof, built in 1925 with Mediterranean-Revival architecture. Originally designed by well-known Tampa architect M. Leo Elliott, the theater was created with a wide stage, dressing rooms, and an orchestra pit for vaudeville shows. It served as Frostproof's only movie theater until the late 1960s, showing silent films with piano accompaniment, with the original piano now displayed in the lobby. After falling into decay, the theater was purchased and restored by the Frostproof Chamber of Commerce starting in 2002, with funding from grants and community efforts. The restoration included new carpeting, wallpaper, updated restrooms, and the removal of the original seats, replaced with folding chairs for performances. Today, the theater functions as a vibrant community event venue, hosting productions, concerts, and social, civic, and business events. The theatre hosts a variety of popular events, including murder mystery shows, concerts, and tribute bands. Recent performances include a Beatles tribute band and a Toby Keith tribute band, both receiving praise for their quality and entertainment value. Went to a murder mystery show. They served dessert which was a cupcake or chocolate chip cookie. A lot of fun. 9 tables of six people. Each table had to agree on who they thought was the killer and why they thought it so. Winner's got $10 off coupon for the next show they go to.

I went here to watch a Toby Keith tribute band named beer for my horses. It was an amazing show. The facility was very nice and the people there was very very nice. Will definitely be coming back.
