I adopted my puppy Shade on July 23 . The staff are great people, and the place is just amazing. Every animal I saw was so well cared for and there "homes" were so well maintained. I never been to a rescue as nice as this one. If your looking for well cared for animals to adopt this is your place to go. They have checked on Shade and myself weekly to see how we are getting on. No other place will do that. They also have help resources available if your in need. If I ever adopt again I will definitely go back. I'm looking forward to taking Shade to visit in a few weeks time.

Staff was awesome and really care about their animal friends. It looks expensive to run as the power bill must be enormous. I plan to donate!

Absolutely amazing! They take such amazing care of their animals. The facility is beautiful and so well kept. Every staff member we met had a smile on and truly loved their job! There are so many amazing opportunities here, from adopting, to fostering, taking dogs on play dates, as well as volunteering and hosting events/birthday parties! Please check this place out and consider donating or adopting from here!

Well after years of donating to this organization fund raisers it ends today. My wife and granddaughter stopped by today and fell in love with one of their dogs. It was an Australian Shepherd (OUTSIDE herding dog) we have a Blue Heeler who has his own swimming pool on 60 acres of land + a pond, they would have been buddies. Our dogs live a VERY GOOD LIFE! They live anywhere from 14 + years. They were told we couldn't adopt because it was going to be outside!!! REALLY. IT'S A OUTSIDE BRED THAT LOVES TO RUN, PLAY AND HERD! I spoke with Laura who told me that they don't adopt out dogs that will be strictly outside!! I just don't get it, but I know they burn my bridge and anyone else I can talk to about them. We'll find and save a dog from somewhere else.

Sadly just like every shelter with in an hour from here. Just fill out an application, they didn’t even ask what was the emergency reason to re-home or anything! Everyone referred us to them saying they should be able to. When you unfortunately don’t have any more time and the animal must go right away time isn’t an option. Really disappointed in this place. At least PAWS, Crazy rescue lady, and a few others asked for details and tried to help!! I don’t recommend this place.

This facility is outstanding. We found our kitten there. She is so loveable you can tell she has had lots of attention. I would recommend this pace to everyone who were looking for a pet. It is the cleanest rescue. The staff were so kind. So happy with our kitten.

My wife and I found a loon with a broken leg in Miramar Beach we brought it to Alaqua for rescue, but we were turned away.
