Asked about an item setting on front counter by the register today. I was told that the manager "wendy" Is what I was told her name is, has it sitting there for herself. It's not for sale. So I asked if I could leave my name and number that way, when the manger came in, she could contact me. Because I'm very interested in this item. I would even overpay if the was priced high. Unfortunately the response I got was a little unsettling. The older lady with dark hair behind the counter That had literally been complaining the entire time I was in there about her job giggled at me as if I were to be asking something unreasonable and the younger girl with the short hair politely said. "that probably would not happen numerous people have asked about it". And then I was told by one of the staff that the same manager has several things sitting around that store that she will not put a price tag on because she keeps them for herself. I guess I'm just wondering. How is this possible or even morally, right? Does this manager get all rights to anything that comes into that Establishment as if it's hers? Because I didn't think that's the way The Salvation Army thrift stores worked. It was my assumption that anything that comes in Must Be put on the floor with a price tag and if nobody buys it ONLY then can the employees be allowed to purchase but only after customers. Maybe i'm wrong.

Very poor service and both the cashier and another worker acted very rudely to my daughter when asking a question about the prices of a furniture item. Must have been an off day for them!

Overall the store has some hidden gems & a very nice cashier. Like others have commented, the price on some items is ridiculous - I highly suggest before 'paying up' for an item to check online since 9/10 times you will be able to find it cheaper & more likely in better condition. My biggest issue was being harassed while shopping. I haven't been in this store for atleast a year & while I was shopping, in front of other customers, the -im guessing- manager (it was a blond women), came up to me & asked if she had kicked me out before for stealing (??). I've never experienced this before. Granted, she was fairly pleasent but still, chastising & embarrassing a customer for absolutely no reason is absurd for any business, but especially for a place that supposedly is to help the community. I continued my shopping but felt very uncomfortable being accosted for no reason. I really hope this is a one off incident.

I visited the store side today, and brought my daughters in to just walk around and see what was in there. Found some decent items, but Ms. Terrance made the visit perfect. She took time from cleaning up the store to speak to my daughters and brightened up our day overall. Ms. Terrance deserves a promotion due to her care for the people that are in the store. Amazing lady, keep her!

Yesterday I was off and looking for a certain DVD. I have the DVD I was looking for but it is packed away in a box because I moved to Florida from Kansas and haven't found a home to move into and unpack. Watching movies is one of my favorite pastimes and although I didn't find the DVD I was looking for I found an old Elvis Presley movie that I hadn't seen in a very long time. I approached the counter to ask the price and was told $2.00 a DVD and no specials today. I was a bit put off and told the guy behind the counter "You know dollar tree has brand new DVDs wrapped in plastic for $1.00? I said I'm not mad but shouldn't used items be less than something that is new?" He said he didn't know anything but I could talk to his manager so I saw her coming out from the back and i made the same argument to her and said i can go to the dollar tree in Mary Esther and pick up Brand new movies for a dollar. It seemed she was more interested in a panel that was locked than having a conversation with me and said "maybe you can maybe you can't". So I left. A little history on me I grew up poor and my mom and my sister and I went to a lot of thrift stores for clothes and shoes etc. Aren't all of the DVDs given to the salvation army for Free? Doesn't the salvation army claim to be a Christian or at least caring organization? No doubt I have gotten some great deals at the salvation army. I have a toaster oven that I use almost every night for my dinner that I have from this very location. When I can get 20 action movies in a package brand new at Wal-Mar for $9.95 or a dollar a movie at dollar tree, sometimes also multiple movies in one package, $2.00 for a used DVD seems a bit predatory. These should be going for .25-.50 cents. I hope someone in leadership can see my point.

I tried to donate numerous new Items out of a warehouse. I was told they don't need donations they have to many already. The reason for one star is they should advertise or let people know they no longer need donations.
