Visited for a conference recently. Front desk/check-in staff was not very friendly or helpful. Called down and asked for hangers and was told no because they dont have closets but a few pegs to hang stuff on the wall. The rest of the hotel staff was very helpful and the food was good as well. Resort is nice and well kept for being a little older of a resort. Great view and a relaxing beach!

Location on the beach was great. The restaurant in the lobby had good choices and fresh food. More than enough places to grab a drink especially the bar on the beach. Try the Islan Boy, legit. The grotto pool was freezing cold so chose to relax in the cabana pool, which was heated. The Beach House section of the resort was undergoing renovation so there was the smell of paint in the hallways but other than that, the room was clean and comfortable. Would recommend getting a rental car if you plan on exploring the the town. This section of Fort Walton didn't seem pedestrian friendly, but if you plan on staying on the resort and walking to the pier next door, then you're good. Will be here next year.

I loved it all except they don't allow you to use a grill even though we had a ground floor balcony room...in the middle of cooking my kids hot dogs the security told us to put it out. But the place is worth the money ! :)

Fitness center is super far away from the rest of the resort and was locked so I couldn’t get in it, and I tried calling the hotel about 10 times with no response. I requested an early check in and even said I would pay to upgrade rooms and they let a ton of people check in before me and I went back and fought until they let me in a room. If there was one open why would they not have let me in right away. It was also the same room type I originally requested so it doesn’t make sense for them to make me wait as it was sitting cleaned and vacant.

Hello - I am writing to you because I was grossly overcharged for a recent stay on 3/29/24. First, we booked (Reservation #284884339) a swim up room because your website said the pools were heated and we thought our children would appreciate the amenity. Little did we know, that only 1 pool was heated and it was NOT the pool that was attached to the swim up room. That pool was about 60 degrees and could not be used. We paid a premium charge for this room and amenity only to basically use it NEVER! We called the front desk to which some gentleman basically said sorry, you can leave if you don't like it. Or I can refund your resort fee. It was a Friday night during Spring Break...of course we could not just leave...everything was booked. He did not offer us a discounted room rate or anything...$29 fee back. This is unacceptable. To make matters worse, when we checked in, we had 'free parking' through the booking and showed this when checking in. Guess what....on the final invoice, we were charged a nightly parking fee. Additionally, we were charged a $29 resort fee. So....to recap, we were overcharged based on what we were told. We paid a premium price for a room with an amenity that could NOT be used. This is NOT ok and we expect to be reimbursed the $45 in 'fees' that were unapproved charges. Additionally, we'd expect some further level of compensation based on how we were spoken to by this man (Maybe David). Not only was he rude and unapologetic, he did not even follow through with what he said he'd do. Lastly, your website states that the pools are heated...we booked because of that, so now we are looking at fraudulent pretenses that were the precursor of our initial booking. Plus…layer in construction. Awful visit. Awful service. Awful room conditions. Avoid this place like the plague. In lieu of construction, they should just demo the entire hotel.Best part - If I've tried to have the $44 overcharge reversed…they ignore all communication and basically have stolen from me. This has led to me having to dispute the entire charge with my CC company. Completely unacceptable.

Ripped off of 53.00 I was not told about upfront! This Resort charges a additional Resort and parking fee of 53.00 in change that I was not told about at time of check in or booking. I did everything over the phone and I'm sure if I had been online it would have been there somewhere in the small print.Would have been nice if somebody would have verified that when I checked in.They released the incidental charge but then I got the additional charge. I called about it and Trevor or Terrance told me he had no ability to refund it. It would almost seem like it's this Resort's policy to rip you off.I didn't even get to park on the facility in a parking space as I ended up having to park out in the driveway. Yes I was driving a 2019 Ram long bed crew cab and it was nice of the manager to allow me to park there promising I wouldn't be towed but it's not like I got a space anywhere near my room.Let's talk about the rest of the facility. This is a old facility that has been kept up very nice. The bathrooms are not spacious But the rooms are remodeled. The beds are not the most high in and if you're used to a good quality pillow bring your own. My wife constantly complained of itchy as if there were fleas in the room but if they were I don't think they were abundant. Even if the resort doesn't allow animals it could have been a service animal that was walked on the beach or someone else had their pet on the beach and then they rode in on a previous guest. The pool area was terrific with the exception of the hot tub. The hot tub was obviously 8 to 10 inches below the level it was built for. This is a family-friendly Resort so the hot tub is really a pee tub for kids. There were unattended children in it and just like I would have as a child they were jumping in it. Guys y'all really need an adults only hot tub.I will say the location is beautiful and I will admit that most of the staff seem very friendly.

This is not worth the price. The rooms are so small, a family of two adults and two children can barely fit. The water in all of the pools except the hot tub were all ICE COLD our entire stay. The rooms only have showers with no full door, there are no bathtubs for children. It’s not really kid friendly. It’s meant for older people I feel. I also feel we just wasted 2k at this resort because we honestly didn’t enjoy going back to the resort everyday after our outings. We won’t be going back. We also discussed with other guests and a lot of others were disappointed as well.
