Lack of care, compassion and consideration. They only have ONE case worker processing applications for needy people for the whole Fort Walton Beach office. It’s clear that the people who work in these public assistance offices are not facing homelessness so they are able to drag foot and not care. They give you the generic response that it will take six months to even look at your application and almost an additional month after that to do background checks. Their system is horrible. It’s 2023, not 1970. These offices should have better systems in place by now. The clerk at the front desk barely speaks English and has an attitude. She wasn’t helpful and just wanted me to go away. Lady you have no reason to be stressed, you’re not facing homelessness. I hope one day the can see how it feels, especially when a little one is depending on you to keep a roof over their head. God sees everything.

I think the staff ther truly care about the people,I had to go turn in paper work ,and I am in need of pacemaker when my heart gets strong enough,short of breath hard to walk very far,and my new case manager who I had not even met came out to the car to meet my need,I am truly blessed thank the Lord.

If you have no where else to go it will work but beware there are mold and water leaks that they will charge you for and the manager changes every year and they will accuse you of everything in the book

Very good place people treated me very good. The fort Walton Beach housing authority helped me get my place in 4 months. I love it.I'm ketron white by the way, I don't know about what them other people think about this place but they where good to me
