I sent them all of my w2s and they filed my taxes without one of them! Now I'm getting letters from the IRS that I owe thousands of dollars. Their response is that it's pretty much my problem. They'll look into it and I've not heard back. It's insanely difficult to get a response back from them, they overcharge for stuff you could do yourself on TurboTax. I waited over two years for my return back on a different year's taxes. I honestly recommend TurboTax before using them. It's been nothing but problems.

Caused our audit to close and we have no recourse now. Owe thousands of dollars to irs. Very disappointed.

I’ve been going to Jim child tax service the past couple years I won’t be coming back. They were usually very good very quick this time they held my taxes for over a month. Waited to the last minute of the deadline for taxes to be filed before telling me they’re done come on in. I go in. I’m barely getting a refund back And I owe them $500 now I kind of feel like they held my tax return hostage so I couldn’t go anywhere else or get a second opinion or have them filed elsewhere Don’t waste your money, tax agents out there that are cheaper

First, we would like to start by saying we have tried for over 8 years to work with Jim Childs Tax Service to resolve the absolute disaster that they created for our company. In 2013 Evalinda Childs did not submit the tax paperwork required on time and the IRS has, in turn, fined our company for Evalinda's error. Because of their late filing, our company has to pay over $20,000 (twenty thousand dollars) to the IRS. This is a battle, that as our accountant / tax service, they should have fought for us. We reached out so many times without a return call or email. Evalinda's office staff even hung up on us today as we were trying once again to get Evalinda to help with this matter. This is nothing less than unethical and horrible business practice! Evalinda has thrown us to the wolves and left us to fend for ourselves after we have paid for her full, "professional" (and we can use that word loosely now for this company) service! It is only after 8 long years that we are writing about this because we were attempting to give them a chance to amicably resolve this issue. Hanging up on a customer that you have done as wrong as they have us is unacceptable to say the least. Our company is forced to take whatever means necessary, including writing to regulatory agencies, to try to get Evalinda and Jim Childs Tax Service to get off their duff and take care of the mess that they created. There is no justification for our company to be penalized for something that we have paid handsomely for them to take care of. The request we are making is to have Jim Childs Tax Service resolve this matter once and for all with the IRS. If they cannot do that, then we are requesting that they pay this fine since they feel it is not important enough to bother with. Thank you for your time.

I have had my taxes prepared by this office for the last 8 years. Jim , his daughter and the rest of the office staff are diligent hard working professionals who always give the customer 100% . They are honest and always explain everything so its easy to understand. I recommend them very highly. As a high school teacher who works very hard I appreciate their dedication to the community.

I cannot say enough about my experience with the staff at Mr Childs office. They are always available to answer any questions I may have. As a new business owner we are learning and growing very fast. They have been there to guide us every step of the way. Particularly Evelinda and Mariah. Complete professionals. Would recommend ?

We preformed an estimate for our taxes on Turbo Tax and seemed like we were going to owe money. We gave Jim Childs' Tax Service a call and we ended up getting back 5 times what TurboTax said we owed! We highly recommend this company.

Five stars aren’t enough for this crew! Best service. We have been taken care of far beyond expectations. Evelinda and Mariah are amazing. In doing our business and personal income tax they saved us money that others missed for years. Don’t consider any other option. Simply the best !
