Steve and his team are the absolute best marine electronics installers I have ever worked with. There is no one I trust more to install and maintain the electronics on my 52' Viking Express. He does exactly what he says, always finishes on time and generally under budget. Extremely knowledgeable and I always defer to his recommendations because he knows his business and communicates it well.

The owner was very smug and rude when we inquired about help with our Simrad system/compass. Told us he wasn’t busy this week but after we told him about the boat (1985 Grand Banks trawler) he said he wasn’t interested in helping us out and had better things to do. Suggest you look elsewhere for help unless you have a shiny, expensive boat.

Called up to ask if they could supply me with a replacement battery for my wireless Garmin unit. Was informed they would need to order it in. Was asked for part number but was unable to provide as unsure where and what number was the part number. Suggested I could send in a photo of the unit and the battery itself. I was informed without the part number they could not help, that was it. No offer to help establish what it is. No suggestion where to find it (on battery or unit). No offer to establish it from the photos. Essentially they couldn't careless. Cannot recommend.

I have used Island Marine Services for 25 years on various yachts and can only say top notch words about Steve Irwin and his crew! Responsive, accurate and most importantly the equipment works great and they stand behind what they do! I find one gets what they pay for and Island Marine delivers on what is promised!

Our GPS recently died and we went to Island Marine Services for advice on replacing our old unit. Steve, the owner, was very helpful explaining the different brands and what the best options were for our budget and installation requirements. While we went out for lunch, Steve installed our new Garmin and had it working before we returned. Highly recommend anyone needing electronics anything on your boat to visit Island Marine Services.
