I purchased a new car in June 2024. From the time I signed the contract to today, things have gone wrong. It took forever to get the car shipped, the car arrived damaged (which I understand wasn't the dealer's fault, but I had to constantly follow up to get information on getting the damage fixed), it took almost a month to get my license plate after submitting the necessary documents, the car wasn't cleared of the existing recalls, nor was I even told about them, and when I ended up with a damaged windshield and inquired about what my additional warranties covered, I was informed by the warranty company that windshields aren't covered under the tier of warranty I have. I was not informed that there were tiers to choose from or presented with the option to choose one that covered windshield damage. This was my first new car purchase and it's been nothing but frustrating. I understand that some of the things that have happened have been outside the control of the dealership, but what is not outside of its control is keeping in good contact with its customers and doing the legwork to fix issues related to a car that I purchased from it. The only time I was able to get quick answers was by calling the supervisor after receiving little to no information from the others involved.

Absolutely had a wonderful experience with Bev Smith Kia on US1 and fort Pierce. Pat is who I dealt with and who handled everything and it was a breeze it was easy and I was in a brand new 2025 pulling out of the parking lot no problem. Would definitely recommend Bev Smith Kia to anybody new or season drivers. ??? I attached a photo of Pat. He is truly wonderful. I know highly recommend if you do stop in. Ask for this guy ??

This is a review of the recent service I received on a Kia Sorrento. There were a plethora of issues with our Sorento. We made them all very clear to the service rep, issues included but not limited to Clunking when turning, Bluetooth/hardwired connections to a phone are not working or recognized by the factory infotainment system, Tire Rotation, Airbag Warning light, Anti-Theft Recall, Seatbelts not functioning properly and typical 100k mile service (check belts and fluids in need of replacement).
The service we ended up receiving was mediocre at best.
The pros:
They took care of the recall and airbag light for free. Before dropping it off, we had to make a separate appointment for the recall two months out, but fortunately, they were able to take care of it on this visit
Understandably, they found fluids and belts that needed replacing and claimed they took care of these issues.
They fixed the clunking while turning issue with a new steering column. This is the only issue that clearly was fixed with no dispute.
The cons:
I asked them to see if there is a software update for the infotainment system to address the connectivity issues. They do not seem to know anything about troubleshooting the factory infotainment system. Claimed that the Bluetooth/Hardwire media feature was not included with the vehicle. This is the lamest excuse for a diagnosis I’ve ever heard. There is dedicated a button on the system that says “Media” and there is clearly a Bluetooth function in the system.
We requested they rotate the tires. I have no reason to believe this was actually done since shortly after picking up the vehicle, a loud grinding noise was coming from the front. So we wound up towing it back to the dealer, then they told us all the brakes needed to be replaced. Why wasn’t this determined with the first visit? I refused this service as I could change the brakes on my own. I sourced all rotors and pads for $300, less than a third of what they would have charged me for the same service at the dealer. As soon as I removed the front passenger tire, I clearly could see the wear on the rotor generating the grinding noise. Was the tire rotation actually done? I seriously doubt it.
They claimed to have looked at the seatbelts and applied some kind of lubricant to them. They ordered a rear-passenger seatbelt harness. I have a suspicion this was to appease the customer and simultaneously inflate the repair bill. Since the new part was still not in stock during the return visit, I requested a refund for it. I ultimately got the refund, but I had to wait for an entire hour for a “manager” to “approve” the refund.
Summary: This will be our last visit to Bev Smith Kia. With a total bill of over $1500, the same repairs could have been completed for several hundred less at a small auto repair garage. We will be researching the cost of an aftermarket Android & Apple capable radio. As well as re-checking the seatbelt functionality since the completed brake job.
