“The staff is great and very loving with my pets. The vets take good care at attending to their medical needs. However, I feel they are a bit pricey. They use to charge $25.00 for fecal exams. Now they charge about double that amount and they have raised prices in other areas as well.”
“My dog needed biopsy on a big hard mass because she is limping and we don’t know what it is.
The needle biopsy was over $200 as expected and the results were to come in 7-10 days. 36 hours after the vet visit I received a text: Results of Biopsy:the dog has red and white blood cells and we don’t know what the mass is. Get more biopsy’s and we will give you a reduced price on the next ones.
I requested they email me the written results and got no response. I asked that they call and I received no return call.
Please know that after reading this, their manager got in touch with me and Lulu went to see them a second time.
The vet spent time with Lulu, she straightened out the vaccine and paperwork problems and she is ok to travel now.
Regarding the mass on her leg, we did another type of biopsy and now we have a good idea of what it is and have a couple of options on how to handle the situation.
I’m very happy they took the initiative to contact me to solve the problem and we will continue to use their services.”

“I’ll start by saying THESE PEOPLE KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING!!! Dr. Rohlk and Maryanne are outstanding and very comforting. Dr Rohlk got my very wiggly dog to sit still for her vaccinations and she didn’t even flinch!! You can tell they genuinely care for your pets health and not just in it for the money. Maryanne explained some very important details to us that no other vet has ever taken their time to do including giving us a list of what’s best for both my cat and dog food, bowl and treat wise. I’m never going anywhere else for my pets needs! Thank you:)”

“The team at South Gate go above and beyond. They genuinely care about my animals and I feel that I have their full attention when I have an appointment. My pup had gotten spayed at a different clinic and I had some concerns about the incision. I made that call at 5:30pm and was in the office by 6:30pm. Now I was an established patient but, they truly went out of their way to see us at such short notice. Would recommend them to everyone I know.”

Dr. Clements, Dr. Allen, Valeri, Kristin and Kaitlin were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!! I highly recommend this place. They were honest and saved us a lot of money by doing what was needed to be done and not doing unnecessary things that would cost us more…. Sasha is my 13 year old daughters puppy and she and I are SO grateful for the amazing care and love that they showed us. After we left, Valeri texted me with her personal phone number and told me to text her with any concerns or questions. She has texted several times to check on our puppy and has answered every single text that I’ve sent to her. There’s not enough stars to push for our gratefulness…..”

“My 2 year old large breed pup suffered a suspected knee ligament injury. My vet said surgery or limping dog the rest of her life. This doctor prescribed supplements and within 3 weeks she stopped limping. Zero indication she has any injury! She also adjusted her spine as she had a hip higher than the other and now there is no height difference in the hips! So very thankful we found this clinic!!!!!”
