“I’ll start by saying THESE PEOPLE KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING!!! Dr. Rohlk and Maryanne are outstanding and very comforting. Dr Rohlk got my very wiggly dog to sit still for her vaccinations and she didn’t even flinch!! You can tell they genuinely care for your pets health and not just in it for the money. Maryanne explained some very important details to us that no other vet has ever taken their time to do including giving us a list of what’s best for both my cat and dog food, bowl and treat wise. “The team at South Gate go above and beyond. They genuinely care about my animals and I feel that I have their full attention when I have an appointment. My pup had gotten spayed at a different clinic and I had some concerns about the incision. I made that call at 5:30pm and was in the office by 6:30pm. Now I was an established patient but, they truly went out of their way to see us at such short notice. Would recommend them to everyone I know.”

“The staff is great and very loving with my pets. The vets take good care at attending to their medical needs. However, I feel they are a bit pricey. They use to charge $25.00 for fecal exams. Now they charge about double that amount and they have raised prices in other areas as well.”

“I Highly Recommend, EASTSIDE Animal Hospital if you Love your fur babies or any animals at that (even reptiles, farm animals, fish, birds, you name it-He will care for it!! My entire family has been going to him for over 35+ years for every pet we have had!! He is one of the few Vet Surgeons out there that still puts Compassion and Quality Care #1 for each animal being seen!! Dr. Bower, in my opinion, is one of the Best Vet Surgeons in Fort Myers and The Most Affordable!! The Staff there are also Soo kind and caring, too!!?????”

“My husband took our 18 year old cat , Joey there for a sinus infection. Staff was very attentive and it's close to home . They also have limited Saturday hours. Receptionist was super nice in setting up follow up appointment. Anyone who has cats knows that car rides and vet appointments are traumatic but Best Friends made it just a little bit easier. Then my two young cats hissed at him when he came home because he smelled like the vet's office. A can of food later and they're over it and of course they wanted the goody bag of treats he came home with.”

Dr. Clements, Dr. Allen, Valeri, Kristin and Kaitlin were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!! I highly recommend this place. They were honest and saved us a lot of money by doing what was needed to be done and not doing unnecessary things that would cost us more…. Sasha is my 13 year old daughters puppy and she and I are SO grateful for the amazing care and love that they showed us. After we left, Valeri texted me with her personal phone number and told me to text her with any concerns or questions. She has texted several times to check on our puppy and has answered every single text that I’ve sent to her. There’s not enough stars to push for our gratefulness…..”

They truly are about your pets and show it on every single visit. Dr. Lisa Neuman is the kindest, gentlest, caring and most knowledgeable Veterinarian I have ever had the pleasure of working with. We have now been going here for well over a year and I can honestly say I am even more confident that Bayshore Animal Hospital is truly the best Vet we could possibly hope for. Dog can be full of surprises and expected situations but Dr Neuman is so in tune with our dogs she picks up on every little clue and she listens to us as well. She takes he time to address any concerns we have and to answer questions too. I’m so glad we found them. “My 2 year old large breed pup suffered a suspected knee ligament injury. My vet said surgery or limping dog the rest of her life. This doctor prescribed supplements and within 3 weeks she stopped limping. Zero indication she has any injury! She also adjusted her spine as she had a hip higher than the other and now there is no height difference in the hips! So very thankful we found this clinic!!!!!”

“I transferred my pet to San Carlos Park animal Hospital and we are very happy. The location is wonderful. The clinic was clean and the staff are warm and friendly and very knowledgeable. Dr. steely is wonderful with animals and very knowledgeable. Everyone we encountered from the front office to the veterinary technicians and the doctor and management was very professional and very kind. Their prices are great and they are definitely not charging as much as other places for the same great care. They are considerate and do not try to sell and rack up a high bill! I am surprised to see the bad reviews that some others have written, because I feel that you couldn't ask for more at a better price for animal care. “Our large Labradoole mix has been going to Dr. Ewert at South Gate since we adopted her as a puppy. My husband & I adored this dog. Fortunately, she was healthy most of her life & saw her vet for routine check ups, heartworm prevention & shots. As she aged, she had arthritis, an occasional urinary tract infection or ear infecton. Each time we took her in for a problem, Dr. Ewert explained in detail the infection, how to avoid another, and gave directions for the medication we took home. Once, he drew a diagram of a dog's ear for me to completely understand her infection. He was always spot on with diagnosis & provided me with the Rx & treatment my dog needed. Sadly, last week, Dr. Ewert and his vet tech, Jessica, had to put down our 12 yr old beloved girl. She was beginning to suffer from cancers Dr. Ewert discovered several months ago and we couldn't treat. The kindness, compassion & support this vet and his assistant gave to my dog and me on one of the hardest days of my life, were incredible. I will be forever grateful. I never felt my dog & I were just another patient and owner. Dr. Ewert and Jessica treated us with loving care. South Gate is not just a business where these two special people earn a living. “The care my dog received was top notch.  From the moment we walked in, so scared and so unsure of what to do,  we were seen by vet techs,  and an emergency doctor and consulted with a surgeon.  We were given all the information with which to make an educated decision and we were confident that our baby was in good hands.  They did all the labs and presurgical evaluations to ensure she was a good surgical candidate.  She had a successful surgery with no complications.  When I called during her post-op stay someone always got on the phone and updated me on her condition. When I brought her home and had a question on her at home care,  they answered me immediately.  Everyone had a happy demeanor, were personable and professional. I could not be happier to have found such a wonderful facility. I will gladly recommend to friends.”
