I am very pleased with the turtle source! I ordered an eastern painted turtle recently from them and she is absolutely beautiful! It was very clear to me as soon as she arrived that she had been well taken care of and she is very healthy! I highly recommend ordering from them!

I was kind of worried since this guy was coming all the way from Florida to California. The turtle arrived perfectly fine. This little guy is so active.

Just received our new redfooted turtle today..and he is awesome. The colors are great and he is very active already. You can tell he was well taken care of can not wait to watch him grow up in our family thank you.

Not all heroes wear capes, and Amy at Turtle Source is one of them. As a busy CEO constantly traveling between California and Princeton, NJ, with a two-year-old and a six-year-old that I hate to let down, I found myself in a bind when my six-year-old's turtle suddenly passed away around 2 PM. He came home from school an hour later, excitedly sharing that he wrote a note in class about his new turtle, Smertle. My heart sank. As a parent who sometimes disappoints due to a hectic travel schedule, I was determined not to let my son down this time.I scoured the web for turtle retailers and quickly settled on Turtle Source. After placing an order, I called and was greeted by Amy, an angel on the phone. She assured me the order was processed and she would make sure it shipped out that night. By noon the next day, the UPS truck delivered the turtle, and even the driver was fascinated by the story. We ordered two turtles (one to hide in the basement as a backup), and Amy thoughtfully sent them in different sizes so my son Luca wouldn't notice.I can't thank Turtle Source enough. They weren't just a pet shop that day; they helped a father keep his promise to his son. Thank you, Amy, for being a hero.

I received my painted turtle this week. He is a beautiful and healthy turtle. He is getting along well with my other turtles and is very friendly. This is my fourth turtle from The turtle source. I recommend them.

I had been looking at this particular website for quite some time. Back when I was raising my pink bellied side necked turtle, two red eared sliders and three yellow bellies. Draca my pink bellie unfortunately passed she got impacted trying to lay eggs ? I was away from home at the time and had OP that were qualified taking care of her. Unfortunately in that situation there's not much you can do.I am so excited and pleased with my purchase, Shelldon my Nicaraguan Ornate Slider came on time, in amazing packaging, he/she is so very active and healthy! Eating already, I did order some food from them so I could gradually switch Shelldon over to what I will be feeding them. I ordered a hatchling and that's what I received.I will definitely do future business with The Turtle Source and recommend them!

My girl bought a turt about 2 months ago and it still hasnt eaten and just floats around. She has contacted turtle source a few times and sent pics and video of the set up with no response but 1 reply. And at this point Im sure its going to die, no thanks to TS and there none customer care. (Democrates) I would not suggest any body do buisness with them. It may be time to check out there lisc and federal interstate lisc for commrence

I couldn't find a box turtle locally so I bought one from this company and my experience was great. The animal had to be shipped basically across the country, but it was delivered right on time and in good health. I emailed them with a couple questions and they responded within a day or two on tips and care. Great experience for me.

Receive my tortoise barely moving and sick almost dead I thought he was dead. They told me to soak him and he would be fine. Then he died and all they told me was sorry for my loss. I do not recommend buying from them. Buyer beware I got a sick and almost dead tortoise the ended up dying quickly. Wish I could add pictures of how he looked when I received him. I'm very sad and upset over this !!!

I was sceptical at first before purchasing a couple of turtles so I called and talked to a young lady that had all my doubts and concerns at ease. I then purchased beautiful blue and green Rio Grande red eared sliders they arrived on time and very professionally packaged. I will definitely recommend The Turtle Source.

My sister purchased a sulcata well started hatchling for me. We had his enclosure set up perfectly. We followed care instructions to a T. A few days after he arrived he battled a respiratory infection. Then spent the next couple months struggling. After multiple vet appointments and doing everything we could, he passed away. Two exotics vets and three tortoise experts we spoke to all agreed that it was due to failure to thrive. We spent hundreds on vet appointments and doing everything we could for him. We now have another tortoise from a different breeder and the experience has been night and day different. No automated customer service, I can speak with the breeder directly. He is also younger than the one we received from Turtle Source and bigger. I hate leaving negative reviews, but it was so hard to watch the tortoise suffer even with our best efforts and my kids and I were heartbroken.
