The hurricane was 2 days away and this facility which is a 24 hour facility locked the gates. Sending an email that went to my junk mail. Stating the closure. Talking with another customer the same was done to them, and they were unable to get their mobile home. I was so upset when I learned this sitting at their gate calling the emergency line approximately 1/2 dozen times. I had a freight line waiting down the road they were picking up my RV to move it to another state. I lost my deposit with them which was a lot of money! Wouldn’t you think if it’s an emergency someone would at least call you back?! Never once had a returned call. Both my generators were in my RV!!!! We lost power too.This facility cost me over $2,000 with moving costs and loss of food from the outage. I wouldn’t recommend this place. On top of that I receive a note telling me I had to get my RV out by a certain date?! Why? They stated because of debris! Really?! Is it really because of debris or because of their unprofessionalism “NOT CALLING THEIR CUSTOMER BACK” and what pisses me off the most is the person or persons living at the storage facility saw us outside and turned off lights while we were frantically calling the emergency line….wow. I’m just glad that we didn’t have any damage to my rv or our condo. But like I said I’m out money because of this facility whom didn’t even have the common courtesy or decency to call us back.

The woman that runs the desk is always polite, informative and professional. She promptly returned my call when I inquired as to the status of the facility after the hurricane. Greeted me with a friendly smile and sent me a text confirming my unit#, pass key and phone# when I arrived. My items in the storage unit were great. Nice facility! Clean

This is the best storage facility around.
I've had to use a storage facility alot recently and of the 3 I've used within the past year this one is just so much better

Great storage place! The main reason I picked this place is because access is 24/7 which is the only thing that works for me. Good facility, friendly people. My only complaint is the front gate. The keypad is too close to the gate already scratched my front bumper. :(

Got a unit through them due to needing the 24 hour access.
Was supposed to be able to move in at any time as well. Paid all the fees drove 45 minutes after packing and loading the vehicle.
The gate says the access code is not recognized And there's nobody to get ahold of.

Fantastic customer service from Lindsey who works on site in the office. Location is easy to get to near San Carlos and Summerlin Rd. They have small 'closet size' storage space that is all I needed.

I have been a long time customer of Metro Self Storage on Summerlin Road in Fort Myers. The Property Manager Shawanda always provides helpful professional service no matter what the need. I continue to receive super friendly safe accommodations at Metro Self Storage. Highly recommend this facility.

Move in was easy. Facility was a little rundown looking but reasonably clean. Probably due to the recovery from Ian. Biggest complaint was the lighting. My unit is near the center door, but the light switch for the aisle is not at the door but is down at the far end of the hall. VERY INCONVENIENT.

First, The on-line application process was unique and user friendly. Secondly, upon arriving to the site office the reception from Shawanda and Linsey was warm and professional which is rarely seen these days. Shawanda informative and efficient answering my questions and processing a couple of requirements that I forgot to do. Lastly, the office was spotless and well as the property and storage unit. Impressive facility and business model. I’ve had prior experiences with various national brand storage facilities for 10-12 years so trust me when I say “a job well done” Thanks again!

Great storage company and location. As someone who rents for our business all over Florida and the USA this place is top notch. Great and helpful, friendly staff, great rates, a lot of different and large unit sizes and clean well maintained units. This place also is big with a lot of room to drive trucks in. There is a lot of extra room to get around buildings when driving and easy to access. Highly recommend and will be back!
