Following hurricane Irma, we needed substantial interior repairs in our home including drywall, painting, cabinetry work. If you've ever needed any repairs after a big storm, you know how often contractors take advantage of people. Our experience with Made in Rio was the exact opposite. From the first visit to provide an estimate, Giovani was professional and knowledgeable, answering many questions. The estimate was provided promptly, was reasonable, and we signed. First, a heavy cardboard path was established for workers to access rooms at opposite ends of the house. Workers used this and cleaned up every day. Drywall work was done so well that areas looked better than before. The painter was meticulous - best I've ever seen. Custom bathroom cabinets had to be rebuilt (keeping the fronts & done by another company). Custom large wood shelves had to be re-installed in our oddly-shaped pantry. The carpenters were perfectionists & ensured everything fit exactly back in place. Each day, either Giovani or Felipe stopped by to ensure the process was going smoothly. If anything was the slightest bit off, it was addressed immediately. Once all work was completed and the heavy cardboard path was removed, some adhesive remained on the tile. Armin, one of the carpenters, looked up the best solvent to use that would be pet safe as well as safe for me, with many allergies. He made sure everything was cleaned up perfectly. My husband and I are very particular, and we could not be more impressed with this company. I would describe their approach as "above and beyond". We plan to use them for future remodeling work and replacement of our Irma-damaged pool cage.
