I love Barnes and noble as a whole, I wish this location was done renovation or whatever they’re trying to do, sometimes all the shelves are moved asm’s look smaller than the last time I visited, I hope whatever is happening happens soon, I still love going there when ever I have free time to spare

My youngest son wanted to get a copy of the new book in a series he is reading. So he looked up where he could get it while we were on vacation and found the nearest Barnes and Noble in Ft. Myers. We went, he got his book and a few other things and was floored by the selection of everything from books to Legos and much more. I was bowled over by the attentive and genuine service.

i’m not sure if it’s a racial thing but all the times that I’ve went, i’ve been looked at differently by staff members, they took longer times to help, and very little communication when I needed assistance.

TERRIBLE MANAGER!!
Bald man stormed into the cafe area where there was a barista and a fellow coworker that had come to help the barista because they line had gotten very long the coworker were extremely nice and respectful until this bald man came in after the rush and yelled at the coworker that had come to help and told them that they should not be over here helping because He needed help checking people out (line was probably 3 people) and raised his voice at this coworker telling them that they shouldn’t be here and that’s he is the manager and they should listen to only him and no one else and that it will not happen again. The coworker then responded RESPECTFULLY saying to not talk to them like that and that they understand and that they just came over to help out because of the long line (6-8 people including myself) and the manger was so loud the person I was on the phone with had gotten worried and asked what was going on and why there was yelling. After the bald man “manager” stormed off the barista came from the back crying and the coworker had to console her. THIS MANAGER SHOULD NOT BE A MANAGER HE WAS DISRESPECTFUL, OUT OF POCKET TO HIS YOUNG WORKERS! I understand as a manager myself that things can get stressful but NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS YOU NEVER DISRESPECT ANOTHER HUMAN LET ALONE SOMEONE MUCH MUCH YOUNGER! This is your team and this is unacceptable anywhere I hope more people that saw and heard this speak up! This happens at 3/21/2024 at 6:30! I hope this “manager” gets fired and replaced for what took place in store today!
