A 1 STAR IS WAY TO HIGH FOR ADRIATIC BOAT WORKSOn October 31st I had notified Capital one that Merchant ADRIATIC BOAT WORKS were no longer in business, and I had paid them a deposit of $ 546.00 for work to be performed. I had also paid them $ 1,804 to order a new power pole. The representative at Capital One did credit my account and said that Capital One would contact me if any additional information was needed. At no time was I informed that Capital One would only be communicating through an online portal. I had no clue I was obligated to monitor a online portal every few days. Capital One is very good at sending emails for statements when they become available or text messages when a suspicious charge is on the account. I received no notification at all and had no clue that the Merchant made up a false receipt that stated my $ 1,804.00 I had given them for a power pole was falsely entered on the payment details as final payment. I am extremely disappointed that Capital One for releasing funds to this scam and would not have thought Capital One could have been a better advocate for me. Capital One never verified proof of work completed never asked. No pictures submitted by merchant of work completed just work to be performed also in the invoice submitted there is a NO AMOUNT OF $ 1,804 REFLECTED THAT’S BECAUSE IT WAS TO BE USED FOR THE PURCHASE OF A POOWER POLE THAT WAS NEVER RECEIVED. A SIMPLE PHONE CALL OR WEB SEARCH AND CAPITAL ONE COULD HAVE VERIFIED THE MERCHANT WAS NO LONGER IN BUSSINESS AND WAS FALSELY COLLECTING MONEY FROM LOYAL CLIENTS. beware of this Merchant his son Anthony and CAPITAL ONE

After a couple of successful jobs and building trust with Anthony :Boom ! I paid several thousand for a repair on my steering hydraulics and some seal replacements. It appears the work was not ever completed. No response , no contact , location is sealed up .!No contact info available to where they have relocated , etc.

Really ZERO stars! They are no longer in business expect in the business of stealing money pretending they are in business and getting you to Zelle money. We only Zelled because we trusted them after doing work at our home on our boat many times. We always promptly paid as well as feeding and tipping the mechanics one of which was Anthony, Capt. Mike’s son. What a disgusting disgrace! Liars and thieves! There are also current lawsuits against them. Do not call and do not send money. Scammers!

My boat was in worst shape when they dropped it off. They returned my boat all scratched up and digs in side of boat. They trashed my 3rd wheel. They charged me things I didn't need or want and did a terrible job. Don't use them they make false promises as well.

Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY from this place!! The most unprofessional owner I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Had the boat for over a month and he was never available to speak with. Didn't do any work on the boat but charged over $1000, which we had to pay or he would've had a mechanics lien on it and my husband would've ended up arrested if he took it home. Police ended up involved anyway, as the owner is an absolute a**. This guy is a total CROOK!!!

An awful experience with this "company" that failed to provide any service and wants to collect a one-hour service fee. I fired the "tech" who arrived and did nothing but take pictures of the boat and write down serial numbers because "that is company policy." I told him it was a waste of time and that when a fault was located, the numbers necessary to obtain the replacement part could - if necessary - be recorded. He said the boss (his father) would make the final decision, I replied no, I do, YOU ARE FIRED. A total flake, that did NOTHING of value. Now they email an invoice that I pay $131.63 for one-hour labor and a late fee. What a joke.
