I have to say, at the beginning i was pretty exciting about the opportunities that Urban League offers. There's a few exceptions of professional/ nice people that works there. Be aware that when you try to enroll in some of the educational programs! I got asked to handle my social security card right away without decided what school or program was best for me. So, thats "not wanted to follow the process", miss Johnsons!! Get the facts!!!! I don't think is acceptable to be notified by email at 1:32pm that i have to assisted to an orientation at 11am same day! You will be shock how unprofessional and hostil someone like (Megan Johnson-Clarke) can be. Don't let anyone play with your time or efforts to follow a better future with your education. Actually, i don't understand how some people in the faculties to motivate and encourage students, instead can be so incapable to really cover her work duties! its not right to play with someone's dreams and time! Maybe personal issues against latin people or anything else should be put aside, when its so obvious certain people abuse from their job position, to the point of not following profesional standards. Sad when the education of the community its at play!!

My family is finally able to get on a good track (equitable employment through job training, savings plan) working with various departments at Urban League of Broward County. This truly is an answered prayer.

People volunteer to serve those in need. For many issues. Be gentle with them. They deserve that as much as us all. So happy to have this resource.

It was such an honor to present at the 7th annual Minority Business Expo presented by ULB. They were very welcoming and prepared a space where everyone could learn, grow and connect with individuals who can assist with business development. They also had the opportunity for business owner to pitch there ideas for a cash prize to use towards the business. It was a great experience overall, and I’m excited to participate in this event next year.

IDA program is horrible. Very unorganized and all over the place. Management sucks. This is my 2nd time in this program. The 1st time was in 2017. I did not have any problems easy going it took less than a year. That why, I did it again which I regret. The 2nd round in the beginning of 2020 it was always something with my paperwork was getting missing, they could never keep any staffs. It was always too much back and forward. The Bootcamp that is another story. They low key trying to sell you something, more than helping you. Basically what I'm trying to say it is not worth the headache for the little of money you get after you save. You can save that on your own. Here we are today 11/2022 I'm still waiting on this check/funds that IDA is holding hostage for 3 weeks after it was issued from whoever and wherever it came from. I don't have it in my possession as of yet. Im sorry IDA program needs to be reevaluated.

The Urban League seems to be more concerned about their logo being stolen then actually helping the community. They despise transparency and if you try to film them in the course of their duties they will have you trespassed. In this day and age calling the police is one of the most dangerous things you can do to someone. We WILL be conducting an audit to see EXACTLY where their funds are going and how they're distributed. My recommendation, Urban League, would be to hire supervisors that have experience and not these people that have been out of control their entire lives and when given just a little bit of power abuse it.
