I'm not sure what to say. Animal cancer care had been treating my fur baby. My girl had B cell lymphoma and went into remission for approximately 8 months until the cancer returned and she had to start chemo again. Dr Camps became her oncologist and I was very happy with her. She's knowledgeable and she never tried to give her treatment she didn't require. She was amazing and always available. After a few weeks in (when they have their claws in you), she began disappearing and her available decreased. The Dr would inform me of the dates she wouldn't be at the office and that her colleague, Dr Williams, will be seeing my baby. Her disappearance act became chronic. I had no issue with that until things started taking a turn for the worst. Suddenly, Dr Camps couldn't be reached or found and her office would tell me that she's in another office out of the state. I needed guidance from Dr Camps since Dr Williams seemed to want to up sell and take money. I really needed Dr Camps guidance. I had to make the decision of whether to euthanize my baby (even though she had so much energy and a great appetite). Dr Williams told me she had less than 2 months and that I should start thinking about the "other" option sooner. I couldn't believe what she was telling me so I wanted to speak to Dr Camps. Her office would not let me speak to her. They said she was in NY at another office. I begged them to ask her to call me since I need guidance and I didn't know what to do. I told them my baby had an appt to be euthanized in several days and to have her call me at any time. They said " Well she won't be back until Saturday (it was a Tuesday) and if you already have an appointment then you shouldn't wait for Dr Camps. When she returns she'll be catching up on phone calls and email and there's no telling when she can call you". I begged them, to please have her call me as I'm about to euthanize my dog and I need guidance and some questions to be answered. They didn't care. They truly didn't care. They wanted me to speak to a Dr I've never seen or spoken to since my time there. I asked them to have Dr Williams call me. They gave me a hard time about that too but eventually she called the next day. All she did was agree that she needs to go sooner than later and that I'm making the right decision. I was NOT satisfied with that reply so I took her to her primary and unfortunately her primary agreed. I swallowed that jagged pill and went home knowing that in a few days, the reason for my existence , would be gone. I kept the appt and had hospice come to my house. It has been six days since my baby was put to sleep and I don't know if I I did the right thing. Medically, cancerous tumors began to grow on her skin and her leg was filled with fluid. She stopped wanting to go on walks. However, she was still spunky, goofy, and loving. And now she's gone. I am not blaming the cancer center for her death but I'm wondering if she would've done better if I had taken her somewhere else. Where the drs are available and wouldn't ignore you in a time of need. The cancer center personnel are kind but once you stop paying them bc it's the last visit, they treat you like a used tissue. They truly are something else. There have after hours where they have to answer the phone but there were times that I couldn't reach anyone. The lack of empathy from Dr Camps, Dr Williams, and their office was surprising. I felt as though I was a dollar sign to them. And as soon as my baby stopped treatment, that's when they show you who they really are. I'm devastated. I can't help but to think I'm the one who made it worse since I didn't go for a second opinion. I thought I had Dr Camps and my girl was in good hands. She'll be there for you in the beginning but toward the middle, she begins to disappear for 1-2 weeks at a time. I don't know what she does and I don't care as it's not my business bu

Called this place to try to book a consultation and the phone rang for a while then you can hear someone hanging up, and yes I can tell when someone picks up and hangs up on you on purpose. Really unethical and unprofessional to do this to pontetial customers, at least come up to the phone and say "sorry we're busy can I put you on a brief hold?" smh

If you're reading this, I'm so sorry that you're here. It sucks, but you're in the right place. Dr. Camps gave me an extra 4.5 good months with my dog. Aside from being a knowledgable doctor, she is incredibly compassionate. While I wanted to save my dog, I didn't want to torture him, so at each stage I'd ask her what she would do if it were her dog and she gave me honest feedback about each potential procedure/method. I trusted her completely and when it was clear we were losing the battle, I refused to make any decision until speaking to her. Ultimately, she helped me make peace with the heartbreaking decision to let him go with dignity. While I wish I had a better outcome to share, I couldn't have dreamed of a better doctor to fight this fight with. I hope to never be in this situation again, but if I am, I'll be calling Dr. Camps. And Dr. Camps, if you happen to see this, I am forever grateful for the extra time with Cupid.

dog diagnosed w high mitotic unoperable thyroid cancer. estimated time to live, two months by incompetent Broward specialists after a useless and expensive surgery. Dr Lyons at Animal Cancer Center, saw him immediately, and completed stereotactic radiation within a week. it's 8 and 1/2 months later. He talked to me repeatedly during that time and offered sage medical advice. Not enough stars to give.

Dr. Ashlyn Williams and her care team took great care of our Gracie at the South Miami location. She was compassionate, helpful, cared for our pet and made sure she had two additional months with us before she passed. The entire team was prompt to respond, answer questions, and help us make tough decisions regarding our pets care protocol. Thank you to every member of the team for your unwavering commitment to animals. Yes, cancer treatment costs, but they allow you to pay weekly as you move through the treatment which was beyond helpful. They also provide full page write ups detailing the treatment course as you move through which kept me well informed even on days when my spouse took her for treatment. They always followed up when I had a concern or needed medication. They fully handled our pets euthanasia and made a trying moment one of the most peaceful moments for our family. Dr. Williams is truly a care professional and the epitome of Veterinarian excellence. Thank you for all you did for our family. - Gracie's Dad

I cannot express enough gratitude for or more highly recommend Dr. Lyons and thus am honored to write this review. My kitty, Mickey, was a patient of Dr. Lyons' in Los Angeles before Dr. Lyons relocated to Florida in late 2020. Mickey was diagnosed with two brain tumors in August 2019 and lived well beyond everyone's expectations - they thought he would have maybe ~ 12 months, he got 2.5 years!). No doubt his long life and excellent quality of life is in large part because of Dr. Lyons. Dr. Lyons performed his first round of stereotactic radiation on Mickey in September 2019. Mickey had no side effects from these treatments and did beautifully. For pretty much the next 12 months, one would never even know he was ailing from two brain tumors. When the focal seizures started coming back and became more prevalent, we decided to try a second round of stereotactic radiation. Dr. Lyons thought the efficacy of the second round might be shorter, but Mickey made it 15 months after that second round with a wonderful quality of life and only modest and intermittent break through focal seizures. I am so grateful to Dr. Lyons for the work he does, for his kindness and compassion, and for not only giving my family hope but for truly giving us and giving Mickey the gift of more quality time together. Sadly, we had to let Mickey go a few days ago just ahead of his 15th birthday. Even though Dr. Lyons is not in Los Angeles any longer (a huge loss for the vet world in Southern California), I wanted to make sure to share Mickey's story to hopefully give other pet owners hope and to let everyone in Florida know just how very lucky you are to have Dr. Lyons taking care of your pets.

Dr Jarred Lyons is the most qualified, confident, knowledgeable and still kind oncologist/ veterinarian. Our little 13 year old 30 lb Tessie developed a tumor on her face under her eye which turned out to be bone cancer. Her face was distorted and her eye was bulging out. Dr Lyons explained our 3 options and we decided to go with the most aggressive treatment, 3 rounds of stereostatic radiation. Two and half months later the tumor has shrunken so much her face looks almost normal again. She does now have some dead bone tissue in her mouth however she is loving life, voraciously eating chicken slurries and very soft foods, barking and chasing peacocks, going for car rides and still pulling on her walks. She's company to us and two housemates a 73 lb dog and and old kitty. We love Dr Jarred Lyons. He's responsive, caring and an expert on cancer and all the folks at ACCC were terrific.

Dr. Williams lack of compassion, kindness and respect was outrageous, please educate your staff, it is understandable is a business for you, but for us is our kids, and for the money you paid the least that you can do is have respect for your clients.

The Animal Cancer Care Clinic, appears to have three board certified oncologists at the Fort Lauderdale location, however, there is only one board certified oncologist at this time. This clinic advertises on their website that they are open 24/7 for emergency and calls, however, this is not the case. They close on Thursday afternoon, and Dr. Chorea is not available until Tuesday of the following week. As the owner of the clinic there are many bills to pay, including the mortgage, so each patient has unnecessary procedures, like x-rays, that serve no purpose, done at every visit, other than to pad the invoice bill. When you need a safe place to get your dog well, and for peace of mind don't think of parking here. Dr. Korea is unbalanced, and at times looses her temper, she is accusatory, and blames others for her incompetence. There is an excellent Board Certified Oncologist and Board Certified Internist all in one at the Broward Veterinary in Hollywood. You will get fine treatment there for you, your family, and your dog.

This office the greatest experience you can hope for in such a difficult time. My 7 year old dog, Athena, had stage 3 lymphoma cancer and mast cell cancer. Dr Williams and team helped us through a whole year of treatments for her and made it possible for us to have another year with our dog when all odds were against her. I highly recommend to anyone in such circumstances. They went above and beyond each visit, even during COVID.

Thank you Dr. Dominguez and staff! Five and a half years ago, you treated our dog Emma who was diagnosed with cancer. We are so happy to say that Emma turned 16 years old in October, 2020 and is doing very well. Your care made a difference in her life and in our lives as well. You are the very best! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Years ago, the Animal Cancer Care Clinic helped me a great deal with my dog Madison. Their level of care and attention, and that of their support staff, was remarkable. Unfortunately, my recent experience at the clinic was the exact opposite. The level of care given to my dog, Winnie, by Dr. Williams failed in every way imaginable - a failure that reeks of carelessness at best. Not only was Winnie not examined properly, she was also misdiagnosed. When I emailed the office about the entire situation, I never received any sort of follow up. At the very least, the $1,250+ spent at the clinic was a complete waste. At worst - I lost valuable time with Winnie... To top it off, they didn't even care to get in touch with me once I got in touch with them confirming what I suspected - that the examinations (2 visits) and services we received were unprofessional, grossly inadequate, and neglectful. I suggest you strongly reconsider taking your pet to the animal cancer care clinic. Instead, look for a smaller oncology specialist who will actually take the time to give you and your pet the care and attention deserved.
