I recently flew from Phoenix to Fort Lauderdale with a stop in Houston. After retrieving my luggage, I called a Lyft to take me to Sixt to pick up my rental car. Upon arrival, I was asked for my driver's license and credit card. When the agent saw my card was from Chime, he immediately refused to rent me the car, even though I had sufficient funds to cover the deposit. The rental was already paid for, and I only needed to pay a $200 refundable deposit. My only other option was my business debit card, but I was then told I needed a return ticket.
Why not present all of these requirements to your third-party partners upfront to avoid wasting people's time? Turning potential customers away over a credit card issue is absurd. Let's return to when things were simpler. Enforcing rules and policies for some while letting others slide is also unacceptable.
I am sure the Latina manager would have made an exception for me, just like they did for the Latina lady who came in after me, if I were Latino. They were certainly happy to accommodate her, but I digress.

We were really happy with our pick up at this location! Adam was great and gave us some ideas on what to do in the area, which was greatly appreciated!

I want to express my dissatisfaction with Sixt's service. For the past month, my company has been renting cars from your location, and we've encountered several issues. Most notably, the cars consistently smelled of cigarettes, which is problematic due to my allergies.
Today, when I returned a rental, I reported a problem with one of the vehicle's wheels. The manager, who spoke to me with an unprofessional attitude and initially addressed me in Spanish, dismissed my concerns, stating it wasn't her responsibility and that I should have purchased extra protection. This response was both unhelpful and discourteous.
Given the poor customer service and recurring vehicle issues, we have decided to stop renting from Sixt. It is clear that there is a need for better training in customer service and vehicle maintenance.
This incident occurred on 8/2/24 at approximately 3:30 pm.

BEWARE! Oneida completely and utterly scammed me!
When I brought back a vehicle that had no tread on both front tires, she claimed she would help me.
Instead, this woman convinced me to trade my premium gas powered car for a Tesla, which I cannot charge at home.
She claimed that was not a problem because I could charge for free at any Tesla supercharging station. She was lying.
She also claimed that I had everything I needed in the car to charge at home, if need be, but I would have to pay for electricity at home. Another outright lie.
She even claimed the Tesla was $150 a month cheaper than the premium car I had been renting for 16 months. Wow. Another lie.
Lastly, she assured me there were no additional fees involved with renting a Tesla. Lo and behold, Sixt+ is charging me $95 a month before I even charge my car a single time.
This company should be investigated for fraud, and this woman, Oneida, should be fired immediately!
Needless to say, I am done doing business with these scammers. To Him, who has an ear, let him ear.

THIS LOCATION Will TRY TO SCAM YOU! I have used the boca location in the past and have had great experiences, so I didn’t think twice about renting from this location. Huge mistake. The woman I dealt with at pick up was awful. Probably the worst Customer Service interaction I’ve ever had in my life. It was almost like she enjoyed being nasty and spreading her and unhappiness. I rarely lose my cool, but it did happen in this interaction, Which is extremely out of character for me. After that, I read the reviews and Saw several reviews stating they got damaged claims several days to a couple weeks after for damage for they know they didn’t do. Because of that, I decided to protect myself by taking a video of the vehicle when it was dropped off and Doing a walk-through with one of the employees. The car was nice, drop off went well, So I decided against leaving a negative review at that time. However- NINE DAY later. I received a damage claim saying I put a hole in the driver side tire. They sent me a ridiculous blurry picture where you couldn’t see anything that even looked like a hole. The picture Had been taken Days later The car had already been moved to a different location, who knows how far it was driven. I Responded by giving them a drop off details, letting them know I had evidence , Took screenshots of the tire at the point of drop off, Let them know that the car has been clearly moved. After that, I didn’t hear anything from them. I had to call corporate Tell me they closed the case He would be sending me a confirmation. Thankfully, I had that evidence recorded otherwise I wouldn’t have had any proof to show they were trying to scam me. It’ss shame because I’ve had Great experiences in Boca and will still continue to use them, but I will never use this location and I would advise everyone I know against it s as well

We rented a car for our business trip here, since our company is a long-term client of Sixt. Firstly, we received a car which's oil exchange interval was overdue. We were not allowed to keep it and were forced to return it, driving 120 miles to Nashville back and forth.
The next car we received was VW Taos. A noisy, uncomfortable cheap scrap with a horrible handling. Due to the lack of maintenance and utmost negligence, the right rear tire had been clearly worn out far behind its safety. We only discovered this after the tire failed and we were forced to pull over at the side of the highway. This incident endangered us as a whole team. After we reported and requested a spare car, Sixt was extremely reluctant to provide any, threatening me with additional fees and that the service had not been contracted (instead I was requested to visit a workshop on my own and fix the tire). I was not prepared for such an insolence.
After a long argument, they sent a tow truck. The truck arrived with a spare car of even worse quality than we had in the contract. Not only that. After the spare car was unloaded, the tow truck driver realized it's faulty and inoperable (first, he tried to "reset" the vehicle by disconnecting the battery). We had to wait several more hours to get another spare car. This one, what a relief, was working normally.
I thought this incident would be over. However, the next day the Sixt company started spamming me with messages about a tow truck approaching with random ETA varying from 60 to 640 minutes. What's more, their messages are automatically generated and you have no chance to react. I wonder whether they are sending a tow truck again (for what reason?) or whether it is just a "glitch in the Matrix".
As a conclusion, I must say this was the worst experience with a car rental company in my life. I've travelled a lot. India, Europe, Mexico - but nowhere I noticed such an ignorance, greediness, lack of self-reflection and incompetence. Be warned, fellow travelers.
