I have a male 65 pound Cane Corso/ Pit who is around 1 year old that I got from the shelter. He was returned 3 times prior to me getting him. Great dog with a lot of energy, but clearly does not know his boundaries with humans and other dogs. I also live in an apartment to make it slightly more difficult.Within 3 sessions Nate was able to teach me and Pongo (the dog) impulse control training, and just as importantly a good diet and exercise schedule. I have been around animals my whole life (35 now), but Nate taught me things about dogs to better understand their mind, therefore making the relationship with my dog and I that much stronger.I now have a giant lap dog that behaves as best as you can ask for a dog his age, whether in the apartment or out.Highly recommend.

Nathaniel is a wealth of knowledge! He gives you the tools to not only train your dog but to understand their instincts, behavior and psychology. My dog used to have the zoomies multiple times a day, she would shred pillows/toys/etc, she would lunge whenever she saw another dog or animal on our walks. After a couple lessons with Nathaniel's help, my German shepherd is a calm, happy dog and who doesn't pull on walks; who doesn't bark like crazy whenever someone walks outside our house. I can't wait to see how she is after implementing everything we've learned. It takes practice and consistency but so worth it!

After being refused training at PetSmart for my rescue doberman who they said was to aggressive and having 2 sessions at Petco who suggested I get a behavioral trainer I checked around and found Nathaniel. He had many great reviews. He has been has been working with us for several months now and we have made amazing progress. Our goal is to be able to get him into the dog park to play and burn off energy by next month. I would highly recommend Nathaniel Silver to anyone with a problem dog. He is very knowledgeable and has my stubborn boy doing things I never thought he would do. We will be working with him for several more months and it will have been worth every penny.Thank you Nathaniel

We adopted a 6 month old puppy, we think she is a carolina dog. She had developed really bad habits and was being extremely difficult and exhausting. We have been working with Nathaniel for a few weeks now and we are just blown away!!! He is extremely knowledgeable and genuinely cares about dogs and the relationship between dogs and owners. We have had so much progress with oyr dog Rains behaviors!!! We are learning so much and we are excited to continue working with him and to have a happy, healthy, well adjusted dog. I would recommend Nathaniel to anyone who is thinking about having dog training. It's not just about the commands. It's about the way your dog thinks and relates to you. It really is a beautiful thing. 10 stars!!!!

Nathaniel has been such a great trainer for my puppy Nelson. It’s always been important to me to have an obedient dog, and Nathaniel is just the right person to make this happen. You can see the genuine passion he has for dogs, and it was such a delight to come home after my two week training to my puppy who learned all the commands! Being consistent is key, but the knowledge Nathaniel gives you during the at home sessions as well as the at home packet has been super helpful!Highly recommended!!

Nathaniel is the most dedicated, hardworking trainer I have ever met. You can tell he is truly passionate about what he does, and he cares about each dog he trains. That is evident in the fact that he goes above and beyond expectations by providing you tips and follow ups to always answer any questions or offer help as you continue training at home. My puppy only spent two weeks with Nathaniel and he learned all the commands and was like a new dog when he arrived home. Nathaniel diligently taught us all the right and wrong things to do to ensure we continue the training appropriately at home. His enthusiasm, passion for animals, and knowledge about the science of how a dogs mind works is unparalleled. If you are lucky enough to get his time to train your dog it will be the best money you’ve ever spent!

My puppy Athena(4m) was trained by Nathaniel. I was very please with the results! The boot camp for training at Dogtopia was a very pleasant experience, they gave me camera access to watch her play and Nathaniel kept me updated throughout the boarding/training. Highly recommend

We had a total of ten sessions with Nathaniel over the course of three months. Jax was stubborn and did whatever he wanted prior to our sessions. Now Jax is seven months and knows a total of 16 commands which are sit, down, up, paw, leave it, look, center, stay, come, heel, back, off, water, crate, potty, gentle, and is learning take it and drop it. Jax now knows how to back up at the door in order for me to step out first, step out of his crate when I say his release command, walk right next to me during walks, come when I call him in distracting environments (such as the dog park), and eat his food when I say his release command. However, Jax did not learn this over night. I practiced everyday and whenever I had the chance. This process does not happen overnight, it takes a lot of practicing. I took what Nathaniel taught me and used it to teach Jax other commands. He taught me the importance of structure and not spoiling our dog which made the BIGGEST difference. He also taught me why height restriction to a dog is important and explained the evolutionary biology behind it and where it comes from. In order for this to work you need it to want it to work. The best way to show your dog you love them is by training them and Nathaniel will help you to accomplish that!

I am impressed! My guy Valentino is a changed dog after 1 hour with Nathaniel. Very professional service, came with so much useful information. Broke everything down quickly and efficiently then got right to it getting Valentino to sit. I’ve seen so many YouTube video on sit (they make it look so easy) tried a bunch of times and just gave up. Nathaniel did it in less than 10 mins, no joke. Throughout the day I saw a huge difference in him. I am stoked to see Valentino’s progress. Nathaniel is a God-send! Exceptional trainer and so knowledgeable on dog behavior, learning techniques and their history. I rescued a female bulldog mix (90lbs) that’s a year and a half old and she began to become extremely aggressive towards my other two large dogs (one of which is her own sister) this behavior came out of the blue after living with us for 6 months. I love my girl and I didn’t want to get rid of her so I did my research for the best aggressive dog trainers in Miami. I stumbled across Silverdog Training on thumbtack and I am forever grateful that I did. Within a week of training, my Athena is a completely different dog! She listens so well and I haven’t had a single fight break out since Nathaniel stepped in. He made time for me the next morning after a terrible scare with my dogs! 10/10 recommend for any type of training your dog might need; he has made my life so much easier and my dogs and I so much happier!

Nathaniel is the best Dog trainer I’ve ever had for my dog. My dog was having issues with aggressive behavior, and I had tried several dog trainers In the past. None of them were effective. Nathaniel came to our home and introduced us to techniques that have never been mentioned before by any other trainer, and once we started to apply them the results were immediate. Nathaniel is very knowledgeable on how dogs think and behave and he passed that knowledge onto us so that we would understand what was going on with our dog and how the training that he implemented worked. I am so impressed and pleased with Nathaniel and I highly recommend him to anybody who needs their dog trained. He is also very compassionate and patient both with the dog and their owners!

Nathaniel is honest, effective, and will stay with you until you achieve your goals with training your dog. He does not use a shock collar and is humane in his approach. He has a very thorough understanding of the K9 brain, psychology and evolution. Our Sheltie puppy was pure instinct and came home from boot camp much calmer, and with motivation for training sessions.
