I bought a 3 ½ pound malthese from her on 12/2/23, and my entire experience from the moment I stepped into her shop until today has been extremely pleasant. There were two other people in her shop that bought puppies and she patiently took care of all of us at the same time and did so with dignity. She was not rushing me to decide which malthese to purchase, as there were two that caught my attention. She took care of her three clients in a very respectful manner and answered all my questions. She made me feel as I was the only person in her shop. She took the time to explain every aspect of taking care of my Gigi as she was only 11 weeks old. They also was suppose to brush her teeth but It’s clear they did not brush her teeth because they had a muzzle on her which let’s me know they was not able to brush her teeth. I was still charged for the teeth brushing when I know they did not do it. When I got her she still had debris on her that let me know She was not even brushed and cleaned properly. She still smells like pee And she is shedding tremendously. This was the worst experience and I would not recommend this place. It seems they’re just in it for the money and they don’t care so I’m going to take my fur baby somewhere that actually love animals.
Update: I changed my 1star to a 4 star because I voice my concerns to Liz how disappointed I was about my services today. she re-washed Coco and had her clean plus smelling amazing.

I got Gracie about 5 months ago, just 2 weeks prior her 8th birthday...her previous owners fell ill and had to go into hospice, but fortunately her previous family sent her along with her vet records and backstory. From what I was told and what I read, her previous grooming sessions did not go well. I wanted to cancel today's appointment (out of fear) so many times, but I read the reviews and the ones that I read are what reassured me to keep the appointment. I'm so thankful for Michelle and her staff! Beyond words, so thankful. Michelle won Gracie over and Gracie is still smiling ear to ear from having such a beautiful day! Michelle was beyond reassuring and her integrity speaks volumes! She did not force certain things on Gracie because her priority was winning Gracie's trust and making sure that she wasn't too stressed. She didn't try to rush the situation and took her time. Michelle's true heart is with the animal she is working on. I'm so moved by today's experience! I wish I could convey my feelings better but all I can say is I am filled with so much gratitude for how Michelle treated Gracie today. ?

I absolutely love this vet practice. I'm sad that Dr. Billhartz is no longer with Southport, however the rest of the amazing staff still is! My girl Gracie ABSOLUTELY LOVEEESSSS going to the vet! TRUST ME, her past vet records at another practice in Georgia tells a completely different story. Dr. Marlar is INCREDIBLE and her entire team is INCREDIBLE! I trust Murray with my babies more than I have ever trusted any other vet tech ever. He has an amazing way with the animals. Murray is amazing and so are the other vet techs there, as well. Everyone in that office genuinely cares deeply about the animals and their best wellbeing. The reception team is truly underrated! - even though everyone comments on how sweet and kind they are I don't feel those words describe them good enough - they are hands down the absolute best! They are soooooooo thoughtful, welcoming, helpful, funny and loving toward every animal that walks through their doors! I can't say enough great things about Southport but I feel that the fact that I felt the need to provide 3 reviews/updates should speak volumes. I absolutely recommend this vet practice 100%. I thank them for everything they've done for me and my beloved pets.
100% GREAT experience on 10/05/2022 - Lived in Fort Myers and when hurricane Ian hit and the entire swfl area lost power, all of the vet offices were closed and lost a lot of their medications. My 15yr old guy was needing his Cytopoint shot and Southport Animal Hospital did not hesitate when I called them and explained our circumstance and asked if they could help and give William his shot - they said no problem. We drove 2 hrs, walked in and within 15 mins we were out the door with William receiving his shot. They were so warm and welcoming and empathetic.

Now, fast forward to today - I permanently move to Fort Lauderdale and am in need of a vet for a new dog I adopted and my cat. Guess who I immediately call. You bet, Southport Animal Hospital! And let me tell you, with my new dog, Gracie, she has a history of aggression at her old vet office (her previous family made sure I had all of her records) ....so needless to say, I was so apprehensive about how her vet visit would go. So far, she has been to Southport Animal Hospital twice and saw Dr. Billhartz (LOVE HER!) and Dr. Bufalieri (LOVE HIM!) and both times Gracie walked out of the office confident and happy!!!! She loves loves loves Heather, Liz, and the whole reception team! And she loves Murray and all the techs!! I feel 100% confident that she is going to be taken care of properly with love, kindness and understanding of her fear issues. This office is such a blessing to me and Dr. Billhartz who is chief in command is just kindness and love. And the rest of her team reflect that. Amazing people in this office. Loving, kind and thoughtful people in this office. I'm so grateful for them all.

Aside from being a knowledgable doctor, she is incredibly compassionate. While I wanted to save my dog, I didn't want to torture him, so at each stage I'd ask her what she would do if it were her dog and she gave me honest feedback about each potential procedure/method. I trusted her completely and when it was clear we were losing the battle, I refused to make any decision until speaking to her. Ultimately, she helped me make peace with the heartbreaking decision to let him go with dignity. While I wish I had a better outcome to share, I couldn't have dreamed of a better doctor to fight this fight with. I hope to never be in this situation again, but if I am, I'll be calling Dr. Camps. And Dr. Camps, if you happen to see this, I am forever grateful for the extra time with Cupid.

I found Daniel through Google and reviews were excellent. We gave her try with him for three weeks. When we picked up her, not only she was very happy and excited to see us, but we saw some change of her behavior. She was more obeyed. We had 4 lessons after training and boarding to go through what Daniel taught her and showed us how we should walk. She was much better walker now and she listens to us. This is continuing as today.

Before coming to Learner and pooch I invested in a very expensive dog trainer. She came highly recommended and she was very confident that she would have my puppies trained in 2 weeks. It was the worst experience, my dogs went into bootcamp and came back worse than when they left, I was horrified and overwhelmed. I needed to get these puppies trained, and was at a loss of what to do. Then, I came across Learner and Pooch, I reached out to them and have never looked back. Best experience ever, and worth every penny. If you are looking to have your dog properly trained and thrive in their doggie life, this is the trainer for you.

2708 NE 37th Dr, Fort LauderdaleWOW! WOW! WOW! That is all there is to say. Patricia and Happy Hounds are FANTASTIC! Absolutely hands down the best dog sitter we have ever used! Winston just turned 2 in December, and we live between Ohio and Florida - half the year each. Winston has had the pleasure of staying with her at least 10 times (ranging from a couple of days to a week to most recently a 3 week “dogcation” while his 2 dads were in SE Asia in November, 2023!) Patricia treats him as her own! Her house is beautiful and her dog sitting setup is amazing! A complete room dedicated just for her 4 pawed guests - with more beds and toys than you can imagine! Also her back yard is beautiful and completely fenced so her dog guests can roam without a leash as they wish! Patricia is diligent about walking them at least twice (if not more) times a day. So we know Winston is getting great exercise. Winston is so fond of her and staying at his “doggie spa” (that’s what we call it!) that he goes crazy with excitement when we pull up in her driveway. He knows exactly where he is and that he is going to be spoiled for the next few days! We highly recommend Patricia and Happy Hounds for all of your dog sitting needs. P.S. - Patricia knows her dog guests and their personalities so well that she makes sure any dogs staying together are a good match and will get along. Our Winston loves every dog so is never a problem with him. But we appreciate she cares enough for all dog owners utilizing her services to ensure all will be happy and content during their stay. The Caesar salad was huge and we took home half of it. The pizza is crispy and fresh out of the oven. It was a great meal. We had a friendly and knowledgeable, waitress named Kelsey. On the way out, we met the owner Luis. He was very friendly and took the time to talk about their restaurants and all the other locations they had. We will definitely be back.

608 Breakers Ave Suite 1, Fort LauderdaleThe atmosphere was super cute and dainty very outdoorsy with little birds everywhere, which made it really relaxing. The customer service was amazing! Everyone was so incredibly nice and kind.
The food was okay overall, and their chocolate chip cookies were really good. I just wish there were more options on the menu. The only downside was that there were quite a lot of flies, which I know can be hard to control in an outdoor setting.
Overall, a sweet little spot with great people and a cozy vibe!

We started with the bean and cheese appetizer, which was delicious with their homemade chips. The salsas were also very good—fresh, flavorful, and a great start to the meal. For our main dish, we ordered the Molcajete, and it was honestly the best I’ve ever had. The flavors were rich and well-balanced, and the portion was generous. I had La Jefa Margarita…great for the ladies.
The decor is warm and inviting, the music added a fun and lively vibe, and our server, Nicolas, was wonderful—attentive, friendly, and helpful with recommendations.
I highly recommend stopping by Casa Monarca if you’re in Fort Lauderdale and in the mood for great Mexican food.

Magnolia Caffee

Food was great! Try the Magnolia Waffle and a cappuccino.
Lastly a message about the owner and staff, they are absolutely wonderful. The owner was cooking, cleaning, hosting and everything in between along with the staff.
You can definitely tell they love their business and you feel it too

I also got the fried pepperoncini because I had never seen that before and they were really good! Boyfriend said the tots were excellent, crispy . Also I’m guessing maybe he was the owner? Idk but he was really nice and talked with us a little.

Spacious playground area with obstacles for the babies to train or play.The grass is evenly cut and not so high (on the smaller size doggo side)It has a water fountain that fits both sizes.There is PLENTY of parking spaces.I was truly impressed.

Abandoned Pet Rescue Inc
1137 NE 9th Ave, Fort LauderdaleI had a wonderful experience there, I got to visit numerous cats, and decided between 2 of them, I visited a few more times just to spend time with them both. I choose Itsy Bitsy Spider (that's what they called her) I call her Bitzy though, she was a runt and had a 1/2 tail that was all crooked and bent, but so lovable. I believe the story was some one shut her tail in a car or something as it’s 1/2 a tail and 1/2 the tail it’s bent about 30% to the side, then they left her at a fire station.
The other cat I didn't think would have a problem getting adopted because it was also lovable but with no noticeable flaws as you know sometimes people choose looks over personality so I went with the one I thought would have trouble getting a home.
The staff was nothing but gracious to me and I was thrilled with the place so much I send them donations when I can, but after the car wreck I was in last year I am on disability so I can’t donate as much as I would like to. I also dropped off some food and gave them a pink martini cat scratcher which was about 4 feet high and pink. I thought this underfunded place was simply fabulous! Yea for them! I went there in 2016 and Bitzy is still thriving.
FYI - This is a no kill shelter!

Your pet gets free spay/neuter. Free microchip and free veterinary care. You must have a collar which you can buy at the in-house store. Pets over six months are buy one get one free. I love it !
