These people suck. Waited 1/2 hour at FLL. 1 person to help 20 people in line. Fast break person was doing nothing and they did not put additional people on. Counter person was rude. Gave us a big Jeep. Tried to get a different car. Pain in the backside.

Horrible! I am giving a star because I can't give it zero. Actually, 1 star is ok because they do have shuttle service from the port and the car that we received was in very good/clean condition. HOWEVER, the rental experience was a nightmare. We arrived to about 50 people waiting outside with suitcases. The line inside was about 50 people deep. About 15 mins per person. When my husband reached the front about an hour and fifteen minutes later, they took his name to be called for service. Total wait time? TWO hours. In line. With about 50 people. AND no A/C! Oh, and no Fastbreak!When we get in the car, the fuel gauge is at 1/2 a tank and our paperwork says full. Go back inside, try to get an agent's attention. Am told that the computer shows 1/2 full, but they can't change the paperwork or sign off as proof. So we shall see when we return the car. I have a feeling that they'll try to charge us for returning it 1/2 a tank. But that definitely won't fly me. Take time stamp photo of your fuel gauge.

I was gonna let my horrible experience go with budget when I rented from them.... I had to get three different rental cars in a span of 30 minutes, the first one I got the once I got over 45mph The car shook so bad I thought the tire fell off, so I drove it back to the rental place, they gave me another one, got no more than 2 miles away from them and a warning light came on stating I was in a car accident that I could not go over 35 miles an hour that I needed to pull over immediately, so I turned around and took that car back... I spoke with the manager they apologized, gave me a free upgrade and a free day.. I was going to leave it at that, I appreciated that they accommodated me for the inconvenience... Well 3 weeks later they changed me $90 saying I took the car back on empty and that they're charging me for gas and for a taxi shuttle service to the airport.. well, the rental place is in the airport. I took an elevator, I also filled up that damn car before I took it back because there's no way in heck I'm going to pay the inflated price they chat for gas.. I find it a little suspicious that they waited for almost 4 weeks to charge me for the gas that I supposedly didn't put in it.. I called them to see if they were willing to make this right, but they didn't all I got was if I can't prove I got gas then they won't refund me my $90.. unless I had a paper receipt stating I got gas there's nothing they were willing to do.. so I had to file fraudulent charges through my bank. I'm going to file a complaint with every organization I can to make sure people know what a POS this company is and the crap that they pull... I've rented cars twice a year for the last 15 years I normally go with Enterprise. they've never treated me like this, lesson learned, I guess... Unless you enjoy being scammed and ripped off, I wouldn't recommend using budget ever!! I really hope yelp starts adding negative stars soon because I'd give them a -5.. I'm just glad my uncles in attorney, I know it sounds petty over $90 but if they did this to me they did it to a lot of other people I plan on exposing them!!

Actually had a great experience here. No lines. Nice car. Inexpensive. Easy to get to and from the airport under $10. Worth going outside airport. Staff nice too. No complaints!

While I am in the process of boarding a 2 week transatlantic cruise I have to be on the phone with Budget to get a refund for charging me $187.16 fuel charge, even though the tank was full, and was acknowledged by the Budget associate upon return. Which by the way happened to 3 other fellow cruise passengers. This was supposed to be a good experience and instead I had to deal with Budget INCOMPETENCE. BTW they charged me (incorrectly) $187.16, and refunded me $187.15. A penny is not much, but it shows how INCOMPETENT Budget is. I will think 10 times about renting from Budget again. Take a picture of your car's fuel tank level when you turn it in and make sure you have the receipt from when you filled it up.

Wish they had a minus ! Huge huge lines. Fast track was not done. Ghetto rude employee!!! Even returning car the black employee got confrontational. Do NOT rent from them. Miami is same same. Other car agencies had little to no lines. In Miami .. two employees working the counter while the line had 50 passengers. Both had Serious chip on their shoulders.

We reserved a car for 8 days at 48.95/day. After standing on line for 45 minutes, we finally got to the counter. They tried to upsell us, but we didn't need a bigger car. The counter guy was VERY nasty. He walked away for about five minutes and said he found us a car. He also charged us $15/day extra, but after standing there for over an hour, we gave in. We went out to the garage to find that the car had a flat tire, no keys and a broken wiper. The guy knew but was being vindictive. Eventually the guy in the garage found us a car and we left. Went to return it the next day and were charged $160.00+We can't get over just how nasty they were, and that the manager didn't care.And to show that we're not just trying to trash them, we went to National and had the exact opposite experience. We were out of there in 6 minutes (yes, I timed it). JUST DON'T!!

This facility needs customer service experience from the team members to management. So I rented a minivan, got to the car spot, opened the door, and roaches were crawling all around. Went back to the desk to swap it out. The staff member who checked my out refused to list the damages found as I inspected the vehicle so I walked back inside to customer service to see that it gets done. On our road trip, I noticed several cars flashing their bright lights and later after a truck almost ran unto me we were informed that the back lights were completely out. When I took it back, no one was concerned from the guy who checked the car in to Mr Muir who I was told the manager was. IF MY SAFETY ISN'T A CONCERN, THEN I WILL TAKE MY BUSINESS ELSEWHERE. NEVER AGAIN!!! And what's so sad is that the car will be rented AGAIN with no back lights because EVERYONE FAILED to note it.

Rented a car from Payless in Cozumel Buyer beware these guys are Scammers What you reserve a car for online and actually end up paying for are two complete different prices. We travel to Cozumel every year and this was our first and last time that we rent from Payless Total Scammers read the online reviews before you rent. You can do much better

Seriously three people working and 30-40 people in line. We waited 90 mins to get our car. Ridiculous. It shouldn't be that complicated!!!! We will find another rental place or use Turo from here on out!
