They had a lot of whole watermelon stocked in their store. They were charging 9.99 and I purchased one. I got home and the watermelon was rotten. I called and asked if I could get another one or a credit. She just said "well it isn't watermelon season!" I couldn't believe I just gave them 10 dollars and nothing in return but a rotten watermelon.

(Translated by Google) The staff are very attentive, the only thing they are doing is wrong with the tortillas. As they do not wash the blankets with which they protect the tortillas in the lleleras even though they are hot they taste sour(Original)El personal muy atento lo unico mal que estan haciendo es en las tortillas. Como que no lavan las mantas con la que protejen las tortillas en las lleleras haunque esten calientes saven a agrias

As a Latin market, there are a great many choices not found in other grocery stores. The store itself is very crowded with goods and the aisles are extremely narrow. This makes it a bit challenging to navigate. The fruit and veg choices available are nice and of good value.

Pretty decent selection of items. Prices are very reasonable and this is my go to for poultry and meats. I do sometimes opt for produce here too. Another great thing to buy here are the Latin inspired products when I want to make Peruvian style dishes at home.

Well... I checked into yelp on the wrong market! I thought this was Lucky's Market -- the organic and naturals foods one on Oakland park. Ooops! This one that I went to on Prosoect was a couple doors down from where we had lunch. It turned out to be a small family owned Spanish market. Most signs are in Spanish and Spanish music is being pumped from the speakers throughout the small store. There is a lot of stock crammed into the limited space. Every inch is taken as a rage of -- with very narrow aisles. I don't think a heavy set person or even a basket could fit!And if you're in a wheelchair or walker, you'd need special assistance. That being said, I find it interesting to explore ethnic markets. There's always something new to see, unusual products, and to try to figure out what it is. And occasionally, my curiosity will propel me to try something that I really have no idea about. This time, we bought a couple known items. My husband likes parcha/maracuja (passion fruit) so he bought an ice pop with that flavor and a container of juice cocktail.

Lucky Farmers Market is a small but well stocked grocery store focused on the Hispanic community but welcomes everyone. Lots of rice and beans! Lots of canned goods from Latin America. I shop there almost every other week for its fresh produce and butcher. The butcher is friendly and always has chicken wings by the pound so I can get exactly what I need to fit my air fryer. With price points lower than the chain supermarkets, it's worth it for me to drive a bit further. There is plenty of strip mall parking. I'd go weekly if they had more Asian focused vegetables.
