I learned so many valuable life skills at this place when I was a teenager, and I know at the time I didn't want to be there, but I mean, what teenager(in my particular position at the time) would want to be away from their friends and family? But now at 23 almost 24, I am grateful for everything this place and the staff back then and all the lifelong friends I made in this place who I still talk to to this day, and are probably my favorite friends I have because we have a special bond and it's thanks to this place.

I can’t believe this place is still open. They closed down shortly after we paid $20,000.00. I have text messages that were accidentally sent to me and not meant for the eyes of a parent. As a mental health professional, this place is a disgrace and it was ironic because after they sent home my son and all the other adolescents the owner went on vacation. What a shame and I am disappointed nothing was ever done to prevent it from opening back up a few months after closing. They never billed our insurance so, we had to pay for everything. In addition, they took my son to the wrong hospital for his surgery. They didn’t treat his mental health either and food was limited and not was promised to my son. Don’t go! Contact Kevin at the “The Addict Diary” onFacebook and ask him for recommendations.

I went here when I was a teenager and it was one of the best experiences of my life. Addiction is a cunning, lethal enemy and half of the girls I spent my time here with are either sober, or deceased. This program did not keep me sober but it was an experience Im glad I had.

I was at inspirations for almost three months in 2013. I learned so many valuable tools that I have been able to utilize today. I did not stay clean after rehab and once I turned 18 I was on a fast track downward. But by the grace of God I am 24 years old today, almost two years clean! I thank my amazing counselors and techs who poured into me and even gave me my first bible that I recently was able to give to another struggling teen who needed the hope! I found my old journal from my time there today and I am amazed at the impact those women and this place had on me! I’m thankful for this place even if I hated it at 17!

This place is terrible. I was recommended this place by Joe di Maggio children’s hospital. As a renowned facility, I took their recommendation and I regret having had my 14 year old son there for 34 days. This place is terrible, communication and therapy non existent. Kids are allowed to roam. My son picked up a smoking habit at this facility as they would pick up discarded cigarette butts from the street and roll the tobacco in toilet paper and smoke it. The facility and the staff leaves a lot to be desired. I’m thankful I found a great facility in Lantana for adolescents that is run by a quadruple certified psychiatrist that has truly helped him. Please ignore all the great reviews. These are false.

I was fooled by all of the wonderful reviews and took my daughter to this facility. Clearly these are fake reviews. Let me start with the positives. Two of the therapists, Safraz and Adina, were wonderful with my daughter. It’s a shame they have to be associated with this place. Now for the negatives. There was a review posted about one year ago and my experience is exactly the same as hers. Also numerous other negative reviews if you scroll back far enough.
1. The NEVER answer the phone. It is impossible to contact anyone until your child is assigned a therapist and then you communicate with the therapist via their cell phone. If it wasn’t for Safraz responding to me on his personal time, on his personal cell, I would have gone crazy worrying.
2. This facility is not locked. To be fair, they tell you up front and you must agree that you understand this. They describe it as “staff secured”. To me, this means that if a staff member sees your child attempting to run away, they will attempt to stop them. Just like the lady that left the review a year ago, my daughter ran away. They do have a gate (which can be climbed over) and as she was attempting to open the gate, a staff member (one of the techs), asked her if she needed help, opened the gate for her, called her a derogatory name, and told her not to come back. The techs are very verbally and emotionally abusive. My daughter was gone for 4 days. It was like pulling teeth to get information from the staff. I live 5 hours away and was not able to be there personally. I received a call on day 3 of her being gone asking me what i wanted them to do with her stuff.
3. During the time that my daughter was gone, and after she was found (not by the inspirations, by the police) and sent to Ft. Lauderdale behavioral health center, my communication with the local police as well as the hospital staff, was very negative in regards to this facility. They stated this sort of thing happens all the time.
4. After my daughter was found, I transferred her to another facility that is locked and that she had been to before. I’ve been trying for 3 weeks to get my daughters belongings sent to her at the new facility and have been consistently lied to and given the run around regarding this. I finally threatened a lawsuit today and miraculously her belongings were found and sent immediately (at least i hope so, that remains to be seen).
The clinical directory, Karen, is the one who lied on numerous occasions in regard to this. If you can’t trust the supervisor of the therapists, how can you trust anyone there?
Options for children in Florida are slim, but please do not send your child here. It’s a dangerous place in a dangerous city. One of the police detectives told me nobody should come to Ft. Lauderdale for rehab, and especially not to this place.

Inspirations saved my daughter's life. She had a terrible addiction, and she came home like a different person. No longer worrying about drugs but instead wanting to turn her life around by doing better in school and treating her family better.

My daughter turned her whole life around at Inspirations. Battling with drug addiction and anxiety wasn’t easy for her but the therapists and clinical staff at Inspirations really helped her get her life back on track! Thank you for saving my daughter.

My grandson had a terrible drug problem and we sent him to four rehabs. Nothing would help. Then a friend recommended Inspirations. We gave them shot and sure enough his sober anniversary of 3 years is coming up. I highly recommend this place.
