Everyone was very nice.
If you use them make sure you get the extra insurance, which I don’t remember them offering it to me.
We had 5 clocks they packed. One was strapped to the side of the inside wall on the truck. 4 of them broke along with a crystal bowl. And they damaged the wall at one of the entries to the bedroom.
The owner gave me a $75 refund.
The insurance gives you $0.60 per pound of the damaged items. He said he was being generous giving us the $75
The one clock strapped to the truck cost $400
And the Crystal bowl was over $100
And he won’t give me an answer about the wall.

STOP RIGHT HERE!!! This is the moving company you have been searching for. If I coulg give them 6 stars, I would! We all have had nighmare experiences with movers in the past, but this has restored my faith in moving companies! Golden Gate movers we Excellent and so happy I found them. They are a local boutique moving company without the boutique price. They were priced fairly, were caring, hard working and was very proactive with keeping in touch to reduce any of my moving questions and concerns. Diego was not only very responsive and on top of every detail, but his men were first notch, Polite, respectful, hard working and extremely Professional! Both myself and other family members have moved in the last few months and we booked Diego@Golden Gate Movers on both ocassions. If I have another move soon, I would 100% use them again. DO NOT hesitate to call Golden Gate Movers. I guarantee you wont regret it and will be glad you did!

Diego is by far the worst individual I ever dealt with in the moving business. He’s neurotic, argumentative, and does not accommodate the customer. I offered him a moving job with the condition that he gives me an itemized bill. He states that he’s been doing it for 22 years, but instead emails me a paragraph of what he intends to do. I would steer clear of this company. Plenty of other movers out there who will give you a professional estimate.

During my career, I've had the experience of working with various moving companies either personally or through my clients. I have seen the good, bad, and ugly when it comes to moving companies and have heard many horror stories as well. I can say without a doubt that Diego and his crew are all top notch. Diego made the scheduling process very easy and sent a confirmation text 2-3 days in-advance as well as on the day of my move. His crew of 4 were amazing, working with care for my furniture (unlike the last moving company I hired last year prior to knowing Deigo). His crew are professional and they know how to wrap up delicate pieces so that they aren't broken in transit. Their prices are competitive and I apprecaie the "flat rate pricing" wheras most companies charge for a minimum 5 hours + 1 hour truck time +++, Diego makes the move so much easier and with a LOT less headaches. I would be happy to recommend Goldengate Moving Services to my family, friends, clients, and to you.

This has been the best experience with a moving company--and I have moved a lot! Diego is professional, genuine, and exceptionally fair in assessing a quote for moving services. It is very easy to see that customer service and integrity are inherent values of this family-owned company.

We used this company for our recent local move and could not be more satisfied. They carefully planned the move in advance and gave us a good and very reasonable estimate of the cost. They were very flexible when the scope of the move changed due to the buyer keeping some furniture. Most importantly, on the day of the move, the team was AMAZING. They were fast, but very careful and had delightful personalities. They had an incredible “can do” attitude when faced with enormous challenges due to furniture sizes and space configuration. They were patient, flexible and understanding. Everything arrived safely and in perfect condition, and no damage was done to walls in the process, which is a miracle given some of the challenges they faced. Love these guys!!!! Highly recommend!!!

This moving company is fantastic. This is the fourth move for members of our family in the last couple years. Each time Diego( the owner) has delivered. They are extremely professional, neat and careful. They were on time and very reasonably priced.

Have used Goldengate 3 times now over the past 3 years. The owner, Diego, is hands on and he will come out to do your quote. I find his prices to be reasonable and fair. His crews are professional, hard working, respectful, courteous, and trustworthy. I wouldn’t use any other company for my moving needs.

I used Diego for our move from Coral Springs to Palm City back in July. I was so impressed with his prompt quote and immediate follow up. The day of the move could not have gone smoother! We had such a great experience that we referred my parents to him for their move to Port St. Lucie a few weeks ago and they had a wonderful experience as well. I will say that we did not have Goldengate do any of the packing or unpacking so I cannot speak to that but Diego was spot on with his estimate of how much we could fit in the truck and he knew it would be a tight fit. He did not pressure us to add a second truck or extra crew at all. Luckily everything fit and made it up here in perfect condition.

My mother recently moved from Ft Lauderdale to Pembroke Pines and because she is 80, we wanted to give her as much help as possible. I was very worried about finding a reliable company as I have heard a lot of horror stories about moving companies and read many many reviews here on Yelp. A friend recommended Diego and Golden Gate moving, and they could not have been better. Diego returned my mom's call right away and came out to give a quote to pack, move, and unpack over three days. The quote was reasonable and he was able to accommodate her schedule. He even checked in with her beforehand to make sure her moving dates were the same and nothing had changed. He also called back every time to answer questions. The moving guys arrived on time to pack my mom up. They were careful and considerate and took a lot of care with her many antiques. She had stuff everywhere, and they packed everything carefully. They then moved her the next day, and moved some of the furniture around a couple of times at the new place when she wasn't sure where she wanted it. No complaints. Just quick efficient action. They were so professional they made sure my mom left out anything she would need that night since they were not unpacking her until the next day. When they unpacked her, all of her things were there and in good shape. They remembered for the most part where things were in the previous apartment, and the boxes were labeled so unpacking went quickly. Then they removed all of the boxes and took them away. I was so so impressed by their professionalism and patience. Diego called at the end of the job to make sure all went well! I don't know that I have ever had any moving company call me AFTER a job. I cannot recommend Golden Gate Moving more highly.

I had used Goldengate previously and had a great experience with them so I contacted Diego again about 2 months ago for a move and that will be the last time ever. The quality of his employees was horrific in comparison to 3 years ago when I first found him. All of my furniture had long scratches on it - which happened obviously when they unpacked it from the truck and brought it into my home (hence the dings on my walls) and they either kept or disposed of a huge green trash bag I had packed filled with down pillows which naturally all had to be replaced and broke the leg off of a computer desk. Diego is less than compassionate when anything happens to your belongings and it is more of a use at your own risk! Aside from the damage and missing objects, he gives you a flat rate. Well, let me tell you you are better off paying a company by the hour! I was supposed to have 3 guys and he sent 4 - trying to claim it was to my benefit yet they rushed through everything to get to another job and moved me in and out in 2 hours and the 4th guy basically arranged everything on the truck! Yes, I should be grateful it was quick but NOT at the expense of damaged furniture which ultimately had to be replaced! There was a father and son team with the son being obnoxious and disrespectful throughout the entire process. I had previously recommended 2 others to him and had another I was going to send his way but NOT after this experience. The absolute worst!
