We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights. We're a family of 2 adults and 1 toddler. The place was clean, and very convenient with a short walk to the beach. Staff was courteous and helpful. We had some issues with our key cards but they prompted fixed. If you are travelling on the budget and wants to stay close to the beach, this place might be a good idea!

The truth is that we liked it! Close to free beach and good location for walking. For that price you can't ask for much more.

I payed way to much and they told me they had breakfast but the failed to mention I had to pay for it and the room wasn't even worth the price

Great hotel. Only issue was with the cleaning ladies didn't understand a word of English didn't properly clear. Room And bc we requested them to return they claimed to management we were rude and we got kicked out

This place is a motel, not a hotel or resort. The rooms are outdated, and smell like mold. The property is very very old and the pool restrooms are in bad condition. The breakfast that was advertised on their website was not included and the restaurant looked old and empty. I paid $180 for one night.

I’m not into leaving reviews so this is indeed my first one ever but I felt the need to do this to help anybody out there considering going .Don’t. This hotel has something so bad going on with the air quality ,within an hour of been there i and my friend started developing sinus issues and coughing dangerously ,when we complained they moved us to another room but still the same thing .We begged for a refund to leave but they just told us that we had to go find a doctor to diagnose us and they would consider giving us an extra day . We just left and paid for another hotel .But our whole trip was ruined cause we kept coughing and sneezing

If you want an authentic Florida experience, stay at the Ft. Lauderdale Resort and Suites. It is nestled among the high cold looking highrise buildings crowding the beautiful beach at Lauderdale By the Sea. It has beautiful tropical landscaping, a beautiful pool with lots of lounge chairs and an adorable Tiki Hut Bar. Mario, the bartender is charming and polite. He makes great drinks and conversation. Each of our 4 night's stay, we made sure to return to the hotel before midnight so we could enjoy a nice drink before bed. The room was clean and comfy for 2 as we had a double queen room. There is an elevator directly behind the cute round office, which was great for 2 ladies to take their bags upstairs. Additionally, each floor had a vending machine and ice machine, right outside the elevator. Someone is on duty at the office 24 hours a day. So we felt very safe and happy in our hotel room. There is even a little Greek cafe located on the first floor where you can get breakfast or ice cream in the morning. The location is terrific for a new visitor to South Florida since it is located on Ocean Drive aka A1A a few blocks south of Commercial Blvd. You can easily walk to the beach and leave your car at the hotel to avoid the meter parking at the beach. Many cute shops and cafes are fun to browse through. This area is Lauderdale by the Sea. There's even a Cafe on the front part of the pier. To enjoy more of the Ft. Lauderdale Strip, you just need to drive south from the hotel on Ocean Drive to have a really scenic tour past the highrises and the view opens up to the beautiful Ft.Lauderdale Beach. Enjoy your beach stay in authentic Florida.
Rooms: Clean, lots of towels, had a blow dryer, fridge, microwave and the a/c worked great! ?
Nearby activities: Beach, food, and shops nearby.
Safety: We felt very safe with someone working 24 hours in the office with a view of parking and street out front and camera security on each floor.
Walkability: The hotel is a few blocks walking distance to to shops and the beach.
Food and drinks: There's a cute little Tiki Bar on site near the pool with a terrific bartender, Mario, until midnight.
Noteworthy details: Lovely, tropical landscaping surrounding the motel.

The rooms were clean, the pool is heated and the beach is a 5 minute walk away.
The hotel needs renovation. With sound insulation for doors and windows. The street is very loud. You will get an electric shock if you hold the elevator door for longer. The seats in front of the hotel are apparently ideal for drug addicts to inject themselves in peace. It didn't bother any of the staff. That doesn't work at all

Wouldn't recommend it stayed there this past weekend had a giant cockroach in our room then they had meth heads there trying to sell drugs to people locks are shady beds are super hard seems like it's just a total party hotel not a safe place to bring family or children

There are TWO Fort Lauderdale Beach Resorts…this is the WRONG one. We reserved this place through a third party website thinking it was the other property. There should not be 2 places with the same name just with “hotel & suites” tacked on one. This place is a rundown roadside party motel. Scary basic rooms, a beer bottle opener on wall but no place to hang towel, cheap everything, bad bed, extremely noisy, tiny pool by the road and we had a view of dumpsters. Only positive is the staff was polite, but I asked for an extra blanket at 6 pm and was told housekeeping had left for the day and they couldn’t get me one. That’s nuts. We are cutting our trip short and calling it a loss.

Large spacious room, very clean and non-smoking.Well located, for those who want to go to the beach, all you have to do is cross the street and you're there. Very well maintained and very warm swimming pool. Smiling and friendly staff.The only problem is that there is no coffee machine, which is a shame because the rest is very good.Defective safe as often happens in hotels.
