I drove to 5 other fish stores hunting down a Fancy Betta and Exotic Aquatic by FAR had the best selection! Extremely helpful! Great little set up! If you’re looking for the exotic multi color Bettas look no further!!

What a waste of time … we went to the shop today to pick up 5 or 6 items and some fish. When we got there there was only one employee on the floor and a few customers waiting. I actually felt sorry for the guy because one particular customer he was attending to was really needy to say the least.We waited there for half an hour, as we were waiting more customers arrived, finally another employee shows up … he didn’t even bother asking “who’s next”, he just pick someone (who was one of the last people to come in the store), and started helping them leaving the rest of us slack jawed.I drove from Weston to the store because they had everything i needed, and the fish I wanted … yeah won’t be making that mistake again!!

Reading some of the other -- pretty wild -- reviews, I think that before I say anything about this LFS, I mention that there are three reef aquarium shops within a mile or so of each other. I have been to all three and have no issue with any of them. That being said, Exotic Aquatic is the brightest store with easy to read printed labels for fish and corals. They also have some amazing display pieces which to me is a sign of healthy systems. While I prefer live rock from another area store, this store has amazing looking frags, small colonies, and clown fish. Given the well lit set up, you can really get a good look at the frags ahead of buying -- which I really appreciated. I ended up getting a frag. I followed WWC's recent advice on acclamation (squirt some salt water on the base to clean off any hitchhikers, hold off on dipping to avoid stressing the new guy out and place plug in the sand bed in lowest lit area to let the coral adjust). The only hitchhiker I found was a feather duster worm which was very cool (also even if a unpleasant hitchhiker came along I wouldn't get upset we are playing with the wild oceans people!). I will certainly be coming back for some more frags and clownfish.

I almost gave it 3 stars because they had a fish other stores didn't have. I waited 10 mins for the guy to acknowledge me because he was changing water so I was trying to let him finish. He acted annoyed, put the fish in the bag, ignored my excitement completely and checked me out. I thought it was a one off but after several more visits realized the trend was the same. Nobody said hi, nobody asked how we can be helped, nobody knew anything and gave wrong answers. The worst thing is realizing I overpaid for something by 6x the amount recently. My fault for not doing the research. I'm all for supporting small owned stores and will pay a little extra to do so but 6 times normal value everywhere else is insane. Never again.

Small place. Thought there would be more fish options and supplies. Tanks were cloudy and seen bunch of dead fish. I ended up not buying from this place. Maybe will try again in future.

I’ve been buying fish here for nearly a decade; they moved locations a few years ago and their new store is absolutely beautiful, clean, and inviting. They have a decent saltwater stock, but the fish are usually on the smaller side and they rarely get larger fish in stock, but I can guarantee that any fish you buy there will be healthy.

They get some decent fish that seem to be healthy never had a fish die from here. But their corals on other hand i would stay away from. They have a serious bryopsis issue that came in on a frag that spread to my display tank and basically beeen fighting this for a long time and lost over $4000 of corals due to it

Exotic Aquatics was amazing! So many fish options and a friendly staff. The young man that helped me was very informative and nice and definitely made me want to go back. My new starfish and puffer are happy and healthy.
