Absolutely unacceptable level of service at Charles Schwab Fort Lauderdale. I have been to the office in person twice over 2 days, given that nobody answers the phone and the phone menu was not updated to reflect that the office was closed due to storms. That excuse was credible yesterday Thursday, June 13, 2024, but certainly not today, Friday. A notice on the door indicated that the office was closed, a little late for customers taking the trouble to go to the office in person. Moreover, I learned by listening to the endless phone menu that to access a notary public at Schwab you need to make an appointment, and their Notary will only deal with Schwab related documents. What is the point, therefore, to have a staffed office in the expensive Financial Center downtown Fort Lauderdale? It is now clear to me that Schwab does not care about customer service, and I shall make my decision on where to hold my brokerage account accordingly. Citibank beckons, located in the same building and floor, whose office stayed open throughout and staff was very accommodating at all times.

2/8/2022 I have been for approximately 3 years with Charles Schwab bank and a very good customer. No overdraft, no bounced checks and a very nice zero balance. I paid fully all my monthly transactions. I am also joining the unsatisfied customers with that mobile bank which continuously made mistakes providing me inaccurate information on the phone. Even either the supervisor or manager I spoke to made mistakes for bank basic question issues. I spent endless hours on the phone. Yes they provided me with compensation but I was not looking for that kind of response. My time is valuable and I deserve to receive accurate information. The branch located downtown Fort Lauderdale provided me with the wrong wire #. I requested the international one and I got the domestic one. I did not get the funds on time even if the transaction was free. I was there in person in order to avoid any issues but it did not help. Staff are not well and longer trained to service the customers. I won't recommend that bank to my best friends.

I had almost given up on Charles Schwab because I wasn’t getting a very good response or service but then I got a call from Adam Rittersporn at Charles Schwab Fort Lauderdale and things changed :) Adam provided me with world class service and helped me set up accounts and had great follow up to make sure I got what I needed. I’ve never had such great service from a representative at any bank like I got from Adam. Highly recommend!

Went there to open an account. Explained to the employee exactly what I wanted. While she opened whatever she knew, I ended up having the wrong account opened.
Found out a few days later that there are new accounts and new services, however not all employees are aware of that information.
Is the employees’ fault or the management? Who knows. Hard to find out since nobody never answers the phone in that branch. Not to mention that you can’t pass the reception because nobody is available.

I have been banking with Charles Schwab for about 8 years and I stopped into this branch and received terrible service. As someone who works in an industry that's heavily based in client services this encounter really makes me consider moving my accounts. I stopped in to discuss my portfolio and the two bankers at the front desk (Jasmine and Charles) were very uninterested in providing decent service. The branch was completely empty but they suggested I call the 1-800 line instead of actually sitting down and helping me in person. I was very disappointed at the level of service.
