BEWARE!!!
If your cat/dog gets out and they will kidnap your pet. Then they will extort you with fees or compliance in the way of sterilizing your pet.
My options were: Pay $250 to have my cat released or let them sterilize my cat and get a discounted rate of $100 to retrieve my pet. He stayed there overnight. $100 for one night of boarding.
Back story: My cat happened to get out without his collar. (I share a backyard with my neighbor as there’s no fence) My neighbor lured him in her house with treats and kept him until this facility came to pick him up. We immediately knew he was out and were outside looking and calling for him, meanwhile he was unknowingly stuck in my neighbors house. I placed signs out which my neighbor saw and she quickly apologized as she didn’t know it was our cat. We spent two hours outside this facility as the staff tagged teamed us going back and forth to force us to comply with sterilization on the spot and allow them to keep him overnight again. As my cat was already scared and traumatized we did not want to do it at that moment, we just wanted him home and to feel safe again. My kids have been crying for 24 hours. I did not want to be forced to make a quick decision at this moment.
Since we didn’t comply for their “free services” they charged us a $150 unsterilized fee and $100 of boarding costs and unbudging on the price. Please know that if we did not come to get him they would proceed with the services anyway and drop him back off in the area they picked him up. It’s extortion and a scam. I understand there’s a need to control the population for cats but I don’t appreciate being forced to make a quick decision on the spot with an emotional family or pay and astronomical fee to have my cat that they voluntarily took.

The foster care department works very hardbto find fosters for animals unable to stay in the shelter for medical reasons. They help by giving you the supplies and medication needed. If you can help please apply. It is very rewarding.

My son and I came in looking for a kitten, the 2 wonderful women that helped us gave us their undivided attention and walked us through several introductions! After a short conversation about what we were looking for one of the girls came back with a tiny little black kitten that in a few short days has stolen our hearts and we couldn’t be happier!!! Thank you so much

Great shelter, amazing staff. But somethings has to be changed about the situation in there. We are partners and most of the time the dogs don’t get full attention about being vaccinated before they get transferred to the rescues. We have to do everything on our own when they are supported by the government and we are not! The directors have to be on top of the problems that has been happened in our shelter.

They refuse to intake animals, they told me to leave three kittens "where I found them", after I was already turned away by the Humane Society and was referred to this rescue center. Actually laughable how pathetic these people are. They don't care about animals, just about how quickly they can flip animals for a pretty penny. Despicable.

You would think they would be excited to have people interested in volunteering; instead they can't be bothered to answer the phone, return calls when you leave voicemails or respond to numerous emails. How sad for the animals.
