Had no idea this place existed. Came for an awards ceremony held here and was blown away with the layout. I:ve driven past this place numerous times, zipped by and payed no attention to it. Glad I had the opportunity to visit it. Artserve has definitely broaden my horizon. I now want to experience more venues that cater to artists. Makes the harsh world a little more bearable!

ArtServe is local art gallery and co-op artists studios that supports talent from all walks of life. During their “VETERAN’s Exhibition: a Family Perspective” we had the honor to meet a retired lieutenant colonel who, during WWII, had been a Redtail also known as a Tuskegee Airman. His name is Thaddeus Hamilton. We chatted with John Bowen, an Air Force illustrator for eight years in the 1960s, documented airlift operations in Vietnam. His memoir “Eleven Months and Nineteen Days.” contains the everyday life during that journey. My favorite artist in the exhibit, taught himself at a very young age. His love and respect for our Veterans grew from his relationship with uncles who served. For over three decades Todd Dawes has been commissioned to create the artwork for the annual National Salute to America’s Heroes (aka Air and Sea Show). Art is about connection and no community would be complete without a hub like ArtServe. The team behind the scenes, exhibit the meaning of their name by how they SERVE our community!

I've driven by ArtServe on east Sunrise Blvd many times so finally I stopped. The building houses ArtServe, the Broward County Library and the World Aids Museum. There is plenty of parking in adjacent surface lot. The art gallery it self only requires an hour or less to see everything. They have performance based classes, special events and workshops. While I was there 4 ladies were participating in a turn off painting class. Hours are Monday - Friday 9-6 and Saturday 10-6

This is a location that also includes the World AIDS Museum/Stonewall National Museum and Archives and the Broward County Fort Lauderdale Reading Center, complete with a reading collection, Wi-Fi, and reference assistance. For its modest size, ArtSetve actually has quite a bit going on for it. I'm actually here when there's going to be an opening reception for the Narratives in Latin-American Art. There are usually two or more signature events going on. There are also other installations and activities plus a community workspace and workshops. You can't beat that for free admission. There's an option to be a member to access more.

Early voting today. The poll workers were excellent. The place was jammed with voters. Nice to see democracy in action

So happy to be back here! I've not been here since before Covid started. Art Serve is an open space for different artists to display their work. They do have some smaller separate rooms as well. The art is for sale so bring your credit card. Tonight was an art exhibit with a mix of different artists.

Worst, there is no-one in ArtServe that understand Art, much less Contemporary Art. Moreover they are experts in pushing out anyone that knows a bit more than them. ArtServe is the shame of Broward County. They are rude towards true Art and Artists.
