If you are looking for an excellent home inspector, then stop right here and look no further, because you have found the best!I first found Gordon back in 2021 when my elderly mother was considering purchasing a home and her real estate agents had told her they would send out THEIR inspector.... um, no way! I might not be a real estate pro, but I know enough to realize that is not a good idea.I immediately hopped online and started doing my research, putting together a very LONG list of questions that you should consider asking a home inspector to help weed out the best from the rest.From the very beginning, Gordon stood out. Not only did he answer ALL of my questions thoroughly, but he never was irritated or impatient which I knew right away was an EXCELLENT first sign. Impressed with his answers, as well as with his patience, I chose him above all the others, and I was so happy that I did so.Many inspectors come out and inspect a home in a short period of time, which is definitely NOT what you want when buying a home (although it IS what your real estate agents will want!). Gordon was absolutely thorough, and never rushed. After he had the report ready, he spent a good deal of time answering all of our many questions, and again was always very patient and thorough with his answers.He discovered that the house had a double roof (someone had installed one roof over another one), as well as other issues, and we understood from his investigation that the house was going to be more of a hassle than we wanted, so we backed out.Fast forward to 2024, when my mother found another house that she liked, and Gordon was my definite inspector of choice. He spent about 5 hours or so inspecting the house, and over six hours total on the property if we include the time he spent answering questions afterwards. He also took several lengthy calls from us, and always was very patient and thorough in all of his answers.His report was extremely detailed, with many great pictures. Even one insurance company who I sent the home inspection report to by mistake commented how thorough the report was, and said that she usually does not see reports that thorough and detailed. She was impressed too!To add to everything, Gordon never got offended by my worries and many questions the way that many people would have. I know perfectly well that Gordon's attitude of understanding, support and patience throughout all of this is the mark of a true professional, and absolutely the sort of person you want on your side when making such a huge purchase. Another inspector may have been irritated or impatient, but Gordon never was.I would absolutely have Gordon inspect another home for me without hesitating. He is a true professional in every way. If you are worried about your new purchase, and want the best who will always be patient and understanding, and not treat you poorly for having your concerns over such a big investment, then look no further. I cannot speak highly of him enough!

I could not be more pleased with Above and Beyond home inspections…I received a very thorough new construction inspection from boots on the roof to hands in the dirt….I had gone over this new home with a “microscope” and Gordon still found many defects, thankfully mostly minor but still present nonetheless..his fee is reasonable, his work is meticulous and you’ll get a homeowner education to boot..call him, you’re welcome

Gordon is a great home inspector. I highly recommend he is your first call in our area of Florida. He really takes his time to make sure the buyer will be safe in their new home and knows the in's & out's of properties in our region. Gordon goes above and beyond by pointing out items that may eventually become a concern if proper maintenance and care are not exercised so you can feel comfortable with potential costs. And to add to all this, Gordon is super responsive. He took my call on a Sunday after my offer was accepted and diligently worked to get the reports done to secure my insurance for a fairly quick close.
