In 1952 K.W. Robison moved his family from Moultrie, Georgia to Fernandina Beach and established Robison Jewelry Co. on Downtown Centre Street. In 1966 Robison sold his thriving business to Bob Whitaker, a native of North Carolina who had come to Amelia Island as a mill worker in the mid 50's. Elder son Jeff joined the family business in 1986, followed by younger son Brett two years later. Jeff and Brett currently manage the daily operations, supported by a dedicated staff of jewelry professionals.
