I was very impressed with this hospital! I arrived at the emergency room for heart issues. My treatment was immediate and everyone was skilled, efficient and caring. I was admitted and the same level of care was given in the hospital. And btw (less importantly) the food was excellent

On July 9, 2023 I arrived in their emergency room with a weeklong migraine headache. They did a CAT scan and an MRI and found no abnormalities. I left 5 1/2 hours later with the same migraine headache I arrived with. I was prescribed no medication to alleviate the pain and they billed my insurance thousands of dollars an hour for the time I spent there in severe pain the entire time. Moral of the story of the story. If you have a migraine headache don't go to this hospital, they are absolutely clueless about to how to treat it.

Very pleased with the lab services at Baptist Nassau. Quick service. Friendly staff, from registration the lab itself, just nice people who are very good at their jobs. I visit 4-6 times each year and have always had a top-notch experience!

Horrible horrible staff, Dr refused to put his name on my discharge papers or the name of the 2 medicines he put in my iv, when I called back a horrid excuse of a nurse would not tell me his name I can only assume to protect him since he absolutely did not treat me correctly, she was extremely nasty and hung up on me yes a professional nurse hung up on me?!?! This place was as far from professional or helpful as she could get what Dr is afraid to give his name because he knows he's treating you wrong way? The one at Baptist Nassau that's the one. I went in for Covid related symptoms unable to breathe or swallow and he said I had anxiety which is just amazing to me if that was the case why did he give me steroids for the swelling in my throat he never listened to my chest so he doesn't know about all the congestion I have or the ear infections I have I do have anabiotic's that I got from urgent care instead of the hospital, do not try to get any information on yourself from these people they hide it to protect themselves he looked like he was just out of school so he probably did treat me wrong and just doesn't want to be held accountable but I'd say the entire staff is wrong in covering for him and very weird and shady to hang up on a patient for asking who was her doctor. It is scary who they will pass as nurses since Covid I think anyone could get that degree now obviously.

I was wheeled into the door and within 15 minutes was being seen and treated for my chronic back pain and abdominal pain. I was treated like a valued patient from all of the staff! I want to thank them for helping me feel at ease (I have chronic anxiety) and help me find a solution to the problem and didn't treat me like some drug addict. They are the polar opposite of the other hospital off of exit 3 that you can read in another review that's in Camden Georgia. To sum up this post: Friendly supportive staff Professional 10/10 CLEAN!!!! Very clean!

I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis when I was a minor and when I was being tested my arm was injured from radiation. That night I heard my parents talking about taking a deal of my arm was amputated. The dr said in front of me that this dr will give you money if he gets to amputate your sons arm. So the next day I asked the nurse to call the police and she didn't. The dr talked her into not calling the police. Years later on the dr Gerald Burford sent me to get radiation therapy but I wasn't diagnosed with cancer. I ran away because I was scared but I kept getting headaches and every dr I met told me to go back to Florida because maybe it was sinus related. Maybe salinity In the air would help. So I moved back and the dr took a stitch out that they put in years ago. Said it was a multiple sclerosis treatment. After the stitch came out my headaches went away and a couple days later the device came out. But then my multiple sclerosis symptoms came back. And when I asked to be treated the dr said that I had to get tested again because they threw out my records. When I got tested they fried me with radiation again and now the dr that originally diagnosed me says I was never his patient. Please help! My family has abused me my whole life. I need someone to help me out because my family and the dr are very well connected and I'm just a person with a bunch of disabilities that has no one to help. My aunt has threatened me that if I goto the police I will be arrested. She says she has people that work for her in law enforcement and internal affairs and ssa. I'm the only person that has had a job in over 20 years and they have taken my trust fund and all my money. They cosigned my house so I can't sell it or even get the roof fixed. I have tried to report them to every one I can think of and no one will help me. My arm is injured by radiation for the third time and it's twisted bad. The dr won't treat it because my family took the money now the dr wants my arm. I tried reporting this 20 years ago and still to this day no one will help me. My last injury was 12-16-19 and it still hurts me so much with no medication or treatment. They talked about a town in Florida where they amputated arms for cash. This is what they are doing. It's organized crime, the dr Gerald Burford works in New York or New Jersey too. They are killing me and no one will help.

I brought my four-year-old son in for an ear infection last night. The staff, nurses and doctors were above and beyond professional and courteous. He was treated very well and I know the staff felt bad we had to wait for a while. Not their fault as it seems they are slightly understaffed (mainly missing doctors) as I am sure they are all overworked with Covid-19. As the island grows, it would be nice to see the hospital be adequately staffed as more and more residents are moving here. Thank you again to everyone at Baptist for all of the excellent work.

I am writing this a little late but readers beware!!!! I went in for a stress test that if I would have known the raping of my financial ability would be compromised, I would have never agreed to. I had a stress test schedule but needed the medical version due to my foot was the problem in question. Months later, I get a bill for over a $1000 and that's after my insurance paid their part. So what's the problem? They charged me 4500 for the medication and the rest for use of the facility. Total was approximately $8500. What the hell! If I would have reserved a round trip ticket, gotten a hotel room, and rented a car, it would have been cheaper that what I got charged! I called a few times due to the fact, having this same procedure in my DRs office in Miami was a $20 copay. Got the run around, no one want to takes responsibility. So they will have to get paid out as I can afford to. This actions and a few others has made me avoid Baptist Hospitals! They are money grubbing! Stay away from them!!!!!!

I'm blown away on how slow the Emergency Room is at Baptist Medical on Amelia Island! They're very quick to take your financial info but painfully slow on care. Checked in 3 hours ago w a broken leg, then I was asked " is it really broken"! Me: no, I only have these X-rays from the country I broke it in!

dr aziz is an ent here -- it is obvious that he was not willing to a simple problem (another doc cured it with a $4 cream. ) he wanted thousands of dollars in testing and went on the internet giving mrmultiple illnesses. and wrote that i was suicidal (which he removed). three months after seeing him he wrote a false report of aliments which had nothing to do with me. but he told the baptist community. i approached baptist jax and was told "if a doctor writes it is true, i asked for a hearing and was declined. i tried to approach the lyerly doctor whose date he stole to no avail. it appeals that newly hired doctors have to sell to stay.

Whenever I have had to come here the service/caretaking is excellent. I am including all staff. Courtesy, concern, thoroughness and care all add up to making me comfortable that appropriate tests have been done and I am better then when I came into the hospital. Thank you!

If you need emergency care in the Fernandina Beach area this is definitely a great place to come. We have needed to use the services her three times now and each time the care has been phenomenal. From the front staff to the nurses, radiology staff and doctors, each had been top notch. When you come to an ER it's stressful enough, but the staff her keeps you well informed and let's you know each step of the way how long things will take and what they are doing to make you better. During each visit we have had nurses and doctors with such excellent people skills we really could not believe it. Today the doctor was not only informative, he delivered his information with a side of bedside humor that would make you think he has a second career as a stand up at Carolines in NYC or the Comedy Store in LA. This doc was hilarious. Chicken soup and laughter do help you feel better...also some strong meds from CVS! Will we be back...we hope not, but if we do need to come back we know we are in good hands.
