“I arrived at the Fernandina Beach Bank of America branch late in the afternoon to wire money for escrow on a real estate transaction. The branch was very busy and I did not have enough advanced notice to make an appointment. As closing time approached, I fully expected to be turned away and would then lose the offer I had placed on a house. I was in the midst of contacting my realtor for options because it was three minutes to close and I still had not been able to transfer the funds.
This is when Financial Center Manager Ryan McCarthy stepped in. He noticed that I had been waiting for some time and took it upon himself to ensure that I would be able to make my wire transfer that day. He personally stayed late with me and verified the transaction went through even though it was after close of business.
I cannot express how much of a relief it was to have Ryan's exceptional customer service alleviate a considerable amount of stress by allowing us to continue with the transaction.
