I took my car to Cech Auto to get a second opinion on the cooling system after Smitty’s Auto Repair told me that the compressor was shot and it would cost about $3K to have it and ancillary components fixed. Cech’s manager, AJ, asked several questions about the problem and explained the various things he and his team planned to do to check out the system. He also clarified the cost of the test and the portion which could be part of any repair work if I opt to have them do it.
Cech later called me and said that the compressor and related items were in good working order but in charging the system, they noticed that more than normal refrigerant was needed. They did various visual and other leak tests including dye and laser checks but could not find any leaks so they suggested that just to make sure that there was none, I should drive the car for a while and take it back to them so that they could do another laser check.
Working with AJ and his team at Cech Auto was a pleasant experience. They explained everything in simple terms and there was no pressure. They are very courteous and helpful, their facilities are clean and their prices are very reasonable. In comparison with the Smitty’s $3K estimate, I ended up paying less than 10% to Cech (diagnostic and refrigerant). I would highly recommend the Cech team to those needing auto repair assistance.

Since you chose not to respond to my private message and apologize I'll make this public.
When I scheduled the appointment to have my AC serviced the owner looked me in the eye and said my guys do not adjust car seat height or recline. I had just told you that the last garage moved my car seat twice, and that I had a very bad back. The first thing your office worker did when he went out to get the odometer reading was to move the seat all the way back and recline it into a sleeping position! As if it wasn't hard enough to figure out where the recline was, I think your XXXL employee must have adjusted the height adjustment knob accidentally while struggling to either get in or out of a small vehicle. I had just gotten it back to the proper adjustment one week prior to coming to your"shop".
It's been 5 weeks and I still haven't gotten my car seat back to where it was. It WAS in a perfect/exact/precise position when I brought it to you, now it will take a couple of more weeks of random nerve pain, sleepless nights, weekends in bed, before I can hopefully get it back to perfect. When I say perfect I mean it can't be moved 1/32 of an inch!!!!!!
I'll await your breakdown of my bad review, and maybe an apology.

My go to for vehicle upkeep. The people are polite and list but don't try to up sell you on their list after diagnostics. I believe they are honest and they have earned my trust. I've never had a reason not to recommend them over the past 7 years.

I have been using Cech Auto (formerly Pro Auto Care) for many years. They always treat me fairly, only recommending what is necessary. But also advising conditions to monitor for possible issues.

I had a problem with my brakes that I was clueless about. He said to bring the car over and that he knew what the problem was. They fixed it immediately and returned the car to me. I could not have been happier with the service. I definitely recommend them.
