Compass Self Storage in Eustis, is one of the worst places we have ever rented a unit from. We've been long time customers, going on 4 years, we stayed with one in Eustis, and The one in Tavares. We've been in the one that Eustis for almost a year now, and while we were there without notice, they decided to put a new roof on the entire system, causing a leak in our unit messing up over $2,000 worth of our belongings. We have yet to receive a check, for the damages. I did everything they told me to do and even uploaded photos, and still haven't received a check. Besides that, the bathrooms is always atrocious. If it wasn't for my husband and I, it would never be clean nor have toilet paper. The fountains that you're supposed to be able to drink from in front of the bathrooms, covered in mildew and mold, it was so bad coming down the wall, it would make people sick as they went into the bathroom. The manager or the attendant, is rarely there. The hours on the door they are never right. They change the hours, without notice. Anytime you need to talk to a customer service person, you have to call the main number, and get somebody else in a different city, so how are they supposed to know how it is? The one in Eustis is terrible. I will never rent some compass self-storage again. And it is no wonder why they attendant is rarely there, and when she is there, you still can't find her in the office or even on site. The secondary gate, somebody apparently had ran into it causing it to have a big bend in it. It took 3 weeks for the gate to be repaired. And then they want to try to accuse you of not having a unit there or looking suspicious, because you walk through the gate. We paid more than $170 a month for a 5x10! No climate control, and all the units are outdoors!For people to say anything to us in any kind of negative way, was just so unprofessional, and unfriendly. We now pay $65 a month, for inside, and climate controlled! For the same size unit!

I am in the process of moving from one storage unit to Compass which is closer to my new home. Madeline was so helpful in helping me choose the right size for me, taking me to look at the unit to be SURE it would work for me and making sure that I knew she was here for anything I might need. Her friendly and professional manner made the process smooth! I would highly recommend!
