“I took my car to Cech Auto to get a second opinion on the cooling system after Smitty’s Auto Repair told me that the compressor was shot and it would cost about $3K to have it and ancillary components fixed. Cech’s manager, AJ, asked several questions about the problem and explained the various things he and his team planned to do to check out the system. He also clarified the cost of the test and the portion which could be part of any repair work if I opt to have them do it.
Cech later called me and said that the compressor and related items were in good working order but in charging the system, they noticed that more than normal refrigerant was needed. They did various visual and other leak tests including dye and laser checks but could not find any leaks so they suggested that just to make sure that there was none, I should drive the car for a while and take it back to them so that they could do another laser check.
Working with AJ and his team at Cech Auto was a pleasant experience. They explained everything in simple terms and there was no pressure. They are very courteous and helpful, their facilities are clean and their prices are very reasonable. In comparison with the Smitty’s $3K estimate, I ended up paying less than 10% to Cech (diagnostic and refrigerant). I would highly recommend the Cech team to those needing auto repair assistance.”

After being loyal customers of Beau and Michelle we were sad to here they had sold the business, and a little nervous about new ownership, with the reputation some mechanic shops have for ripping people off.
Well we had our first experience with the new owner, George today.
I called with a problem with my AC on my Honda Odyessy on Friday, he said sure bring it by and drop it off on Monday and I will take a look at it. I also had a squeaky brake so I asked him to check that as well.
He called this afternoon with good news, no problem with the AC, I had set the button in the wrong position. Duh. But he ran all the tests on the lines and checked the freon which was a little low but no big deal, he topped it off anyway. No charge! Very cool. Checked the brake pads, no need to replace them yet, still in pretty good shape. Yay!
Then he also told me that when driving the car the tech noticed a drag in the transmission, which we knew about but hadn't mentioned to him.
He had the tech come out and show me how to adjust the AC and the guy proceeded to tell me that honda had a recall on my year honda and that he had looked it up, but it was past the warranty on my car, but it might be worth calling them. So I did, and guess what?
Instead of the cost a new transmission I have an appt, at the honda dealer to have the transmission reset. Fingers crossed the service department said it may still be able to be fixed at no cost or maybe a minimal charge compared to a new transmission.
So a big shout out to A-1 for the continued stellar customer service!!
And a huge thank you to the new owner, George and his guys in the shop, they really know thier craft!

“Took a shot bringing my 1978 MGB here because my former mechanic retired, and this shop is close to my house. The car was running very rough after sitting for a couple of months. I explained everything that had happened to Tom. He immediately formed a plan to correct the issue(s) and went over it with me. Communication and follow-through were great. The car was repaired according to the plan (they even found an additional issue that was fixed as well), the price was fair, and my little toy was back on the road in no time. Couldn't be more pleased to have found this shop.”
“I personally watched my neighbor break down and cry with how well this company processed her towing claim. Her tears of gratitude and thankfulness was very touching. The driver was appropriately dressed, friendly but highly professional and very well trained in his job. The day before, she was unfortunate enough to be in queu with a Marion County tow company that ended up in sheriff calls and a stolen vehicle as well as being inappropriately spoken to and touched by that driver who was inappropriate in all areas of his job.When the driver arrived from Eustis Amoco it had been pouring rain since midnight and although he was soaked, and in pouring rain currently, it did not divert his job. He drove down 140 feet to see where he should drop her truck, and then he backed out another 140 feet to turn around, and then backed down again 160 feet to drop the truck exactly where the only actual parking space was left in her driveway.He did not know anything about the towing company the day before and knew his job well, and had no physical problems doing it, nor did he have an attitude. He was highly professional and let her know that she could request his company specifically for any future towing needs from Triple A.Eustis Amoco hires quality drivers and in no way did a lone female have to worry about anything. Be careful of these other companies who hire anyone off the street.”

“I called Complete Discount Auto Repair to make an appt to look at the brakes on a 2019 VW Passat (making some noise nothing serious) $49.99 inspection cost... a call back stating all is well, no attempt to push for add ons or say new pads needed, just an all clear. Then when my 2015 Nissan Rogue was making some awful grinding noise, it was a big job, brakes, rotors, hub assembly somewhere in the range of $1500 and the Rouge is running great. My 2009 VW EOS, was in serious need of shocks and struts front and rear and other suspension repair, so I called Serge at Complete Discount Auto again a few days in the shop and another $1500 and the EOS was back, no more clunking noise and much improved handling. The Rogue then decided to have AC issues and the blower stopped working. I decided to do a Google search and found it to be about a $500 job, and also came across a coupon for $75 off a $500 repair for a place called Christian Brothers, they had an easy on line appt setting process and a same day appt. I decided to give them a shot...without too much more detail Christian Brothers quoted me $1100 to replace the blower motor and resistor, I said that sounds really high... he said is 4 hours of labor, I asked, at what hourly rate, he said $257.
$257×4= $1028, I declined and called Serge at Complete Discount and told him I had my 2015 Rogue diagnosed for AC repair, what would you charge to install a blower motor and resistor...his reply $489. When I went back to Christian Brothers to pay for the diagnose ($95), he actual said oh it's not $1100, it's actually $1400. Serge had the Rogue blowing cold air the next day for $489.”

“Tony Richards (MANAGER) AND BRANDON RESTO (TECH EXTRODINAIRRE) WERE THE NICEST AND MOST HELPFUL TO ME IN A VERY SCARY SITUATION WITH MY CAR. It was towed there in the middle of the night and they were closed the next day. They called me anyway to ask what was the issue. They were very caring and fixed what they could and sent me home (3 1/2 hours away) feeling confident I could make it - also asked me to call to confirm I arrived home safely. This is the ultimate case of customer care and service. It's not easy finding a place you can have trust and faith in, but this it it!! THANK YOU AGAIN!”
