My 13 year old had an accident with one of her contacts a week ago . And we had to go to the E.R for pain due to the accident . The hospital recommended to get an ophthalmologist to get her eye checked out within a day or two.
Her specialist did not have apps available only for a few months out
I called the eye associates and they were able to give me an app for the same day even if we were first time patient they helped me to make sure I had all I needed for the appt !
The all satff was great and very polite and my teen receieved the medication needed for her eye . She is doing great !

I'm giving them a 5 star only because everyone there was very friendly and Dr. El-Jabali was great too even though I was frustrated & in a grumpy mood Plus, the building was attractive inside & out as well☺️
Whoever made my appointment for a retina specialist didn't bother to share with me at all that the appointment could be 2-3 hours long☹️ That would have made a huge impact on my day and attitude! Sharing this important information should be a must for schedulers to disclose when booking those appointments. My appointment took 2 hours total, with maybe only 10-15 minutes with Dr El-Jabali. This probably included sharing my frustration in waiting so long. What made it worse was that my husband & dog were waiting in the car for me the whole time We drove together so we could do some errands afterwards, but it definitely delayed our afternoon.
This was my first time at Ellenton's clinic, plus seeing a specialist at that location. My previous appointment in Sun City with a different retina specialist only took about an hour. I now realize that each appointment is unique...depending greatly on the cases that come in each day, with some requiring surgery. It helps so much to be informed about appointments, so please share this with your schedulers☺️
