“Went to Acapulco Saturday for the ingredients to make a dear friend un puré de malanga who is going through Chemo. My wants were specific. And from the sirloin thickness and cut to the bone broth, Luis Miguel at the Meat Dept went above and beyond to get me the right piece of sirloin while Juan walked the aisles in search of the Bone Broth I needed to make it even better for her. Thank you to the managers that helped these young men help me and for emulating the importance of customer service to its young staff.”

“I hear so much about this place that it was an obligation to stop by and try their food. Every great thing was right the food is excellent while tasting fresh and authentic. No wonder many people go out of the way to eat there food.”
“Lots of stuff. I had difficulty finding dog food but I was able to find an associate who told me where it was. I located it and got a dozen cans for my dog. They had a couple other things that I bought. There were only 2 lanes open but they went really quick. I was pleased with my visit.”

“I love shopping at Publix but this one is my favorite store! I pass several Publix stores to come here; especially when I have a long shopping list in hand! I have many areas of the store that I spend more time in and that is because there are so many great items to choose from! I move next to checking all the BOGOs & deciding if I want to try something new or stay with what I know is delicious. My favorite area is the deli, the bakery, and the specialty cheeses, dips, picnic salads, hummus & salsas all around the same area! “Publix cake is #1!”The cookies & pastries & cupcakes call my name! I have a sweet tooth and that happens not by the time from a clock but my time while at Publix or thinking about my upcoming trip to Publix! ?The deli is a world of its own with the tastest of meat & cheeses that make my taste buds want to shout out with glee! Tasting the new products or just tasting what I know I love to eat is fun! The hot foods counter smells wonderful and choosing which hot meal items to bring home for dinner can be difficult when everyone likes something different! No problem because once all the food is laid out at home it is all eaten without complaint & with much praise to me for picking it up! We eat a lot of flavored chicken wings, boneless chicken, potato wedges, fried pickles, and ribs! We order ahead on all the holidays & our family holidays! I always believed that saying anything with delicious food is saying it with love!“Publix is a part of our family!””

“Easy and usually quick shopping here, with many prices even lower than Walmart, including produce. Some items that I consistently come here for are maple bacon, Gen. Tso Sauce, flavored creamers, cold cuts & cheese, raw meats, mostly because of great prices and selection variety. They also have a couple+ isles of housewares; example: picked up a nice pack of large garden stakes. One more item: I get all my stock large paper bags here @ 12cents each, used for my home recycling items, as do many other shoppers.”

So I went to customer service and spoke with manager Samantha and she was immediately apologetic and helpful in helping me find another option for my mom. “Just got through shopping here, and I spent barely $100 on groceries that anywhere else would have probably cost double that. They may not be the same brands, but it is the same quality, and you doing enough research? And you realize the brand names really are not much different and they actually come from the same companies anyway with packaged items. This store was very clean, very neat, and very easy to navigate. The produce was also very fresh in comparison to other stores like Walmart or anything of the like. I sincerely appreciate the cheaper prices on everything there, even though I have to supply my own bags. Definitely worth it in comparison.”

“Los Laureles is a gem for those who love authentic Mexican food. It has become my go-to carniceria for many reasons. The meat dept. has the best homemade chorizo in the area and the seasoned carne picada makes for a great steak taco or burrito. They have homemade tortillas available and fresh baked torta buns (Bolillos). All the dried Chiles and produce you need to make all the best Mexican dishes at home are here. They have a Mexican restaurant inside, you can dine in or carry out, normally when we have a taco party at home I pick up their refried beans, rice and their homemade hot sauces (red and green) all of which are phenomenal. They also have a taco cart most days outside serving up tacos to the neighborhood. If you are used to authentic Mexican food to take home, eat in or just to get the best ingredients to host your own (pro) taco party you need to come to Los Laureles.”

“Detra, the Deli Mgr, saved Thanksgiving. My family and I will forever be grateful. Due to a silly communication error our regular order didn't get placed. I thought he did it, he thought I did and really nobody did it. So we're on the scramble on Wed night at 9pm. I'm prepared to bury my head under many pillows until after Christmas when Detra came to the rescue. After discovering they were (of course) sold out, she literally ran to the back and hunted down each part of our Holiday meal. Every one knows that Publix has amazing customer service and now I know that this Publix also has at least one Angel. Thank you Detra for saving Thanksgiving!!!”

“Excellent Hispanic market with vegetables, meats, plants, all varieties of food and an excellent restaurant to order takeout. It also has check cashing and money transfers, in short, a great variety; but the best thing is starting on Thursdays when They put a pile of meats for tacos outside. For me, excuse me for other places that prepare good tacos but this one in all of Sarasota and Bradenton has the number one in tacos with its pineapple, radish, cilantro, onion, lemon and its cooked chili or golden.excellent services”

“I am a frequent returning customer and am loving all the new expansions that the store has gone through. Particularly the acai/ smoothie bar, I highly recommend their somewhat new peanut butter smoothie it’s my favorite! While I love trying all their new products, the peanut butter smoothie will always be my go to. The staff is extremely friendly + helpful. Would highly recommend checking this place out!”
