Dave and Adam diagnosed several issues with my vehicle. They repaired and replaced everything I needed in a timely manner and at a fair price. I will continue to use their services for years to come, as long as their business is up and running.

BEWARE of these CROOKS! We brought our 1961 dune buggy to Orange Motors to fix the brakes and a couple of other items. Not only did they have it for over a month. It took them over two weeks to even know what they we’re working on. They falsely claimed to be VW mechanics. We had a cap of $1000, they charged us $1250 and it was NOT drivable when we picked it up. It had to be towed home. They BROKE the shifting mechanism. Because it was NOT in working order for $1250 we were unable to confirm they did any work at all. He told my husband we had to take his word that it worked. And it didn’t. They lied and claimed my husband authorized the additional $250. The original quote was $300-$400. When they claimed to have found a couple of other problems we agreed to $1000 cap. Plus the body was keyed the length of the buggy, it was not like that when they took possession of it. Either they did it themselves or didn’t take the proper care while in their yard. In hindsight we’re convinced they lied to us from the get go. The only reason we paid them $1250 was to get it out of their shop.

This is in response to my wife’s original response (Dee2capecod)and the response of the owner of Orange Motors. We fully expected the owner to lie that’s apparently how he responds to negative reviews as indicated in previous negative reviews. As I was the person delivering the car to the shop I was quoted a price of $300 to $400 to fix brakes and replace the clutch. When I was contacted by the owner he said that it took 2 weeks to figure what they were looking at when the numbers are on the motor if they were real VW mechanics they would have known this and had to reorder the parts. When I was told that he found something else wrong trying to get the price higher I set a limit to $1000.00 when he called me to pick it up I found that it was keyed from front to back on passenger side the brake lights would not turn off and they broke the shifter linkage and I had to tow it home. As for the car being a rusted out car in need of restoration the car was registered and had tags on it was on the road and being used until 2019 and is garage stored I would never recommend these amateurs to anyone
