They lady in the gift shop was REDONKULOS!!! She treated us and others like we were going to steal something. (We are staying on St George Island for goodness sake) She lost a huge sale. They had a sea turtle painting we were going to buy. Guess what it got left and the other things I had did too.
The 16 year old got his girlfriend a gift. (Not by my and hubs choice)

Beautiful and easy to find. Would recommend a visit. The beautiful surroundings as well as many shops and stores make this area well above the regular beach town

If you’re in the area and are not afraid of heights or climbing allot of stairs then I suggest you stop by and visit this lighthouse. This was probably one of the easiest lighthouses I have ever climbed but be aware that at the very top you must climb straight up a metal ladder in a narrow opening. The history and the views are worth checking it out. The nearby house is the gift shop and also where you pay $5.00 for an adult ticket to climb. The house also shares the history of all the lighthouses keepers and their families. It is definitely worth checking out.

Our guide Patricia was wonderful, she went above and beyond for us today while giving us a tour of the lighthouse. She also helped me conquer my fear of climbing to the top, it was definitely worth it!
If you are visiting the island make time for this! There are a lot of stairs and it’s pretty high, but it is definitely worth the climb!

The lighthouse was an easy climb (it's only two stories), except for the ladder at the top that you must climb in order to see out of the top of the lighthouse. If you don't like tight spaces, it might not be for you. The gift shop and museum was small and pleasant. It was nice to see some history pertaining to the lighthouse and how it came to be where it is now.
