Thank you Dr Morgan and staff for taking care of our dear Lizzie while we were away. You did everything possible for her, but she was 15 and it was time for her to go. We truly miss her, but we have her remains to keep us company. Once again, thank you for your kindness and caring! Wisse Family

Thank God for Doctor Foxs office. My daughter called begging Dunnellon Animal Hospital to help her staying Cheyenne was a patient for 10 yrs there and they wouldn't get her in to help her pass. That poor babies gums are white and ears are white they don't care!! Doctor Fox who is not her vet took her in because they have compassion still. God bless you Dr Fox for helping my fur grandbaby pass peacefully. Grandma will miss you Cheyenne you are a good girl...I love you I recommend everyone that loves their fur baby not to go to Dunnellon Animal Hospital!

Thank you, Dr.Morgan for working with me to afford having my two dogs teeth cleaned. The teeth look great and they are doing great. Thanks again, Mary S. I have been going to the hospital since 2011.

The day I put my dog down at this vet hospital the actual Vet treated me very poorly. No compassion & no respect. If your dog is sick and you need to put it down, please do not take your doggy here. I wouldn't wish my experience here on my worst enemy. My dog was my very best friend. I have had her for 14 years and have been taking her to this vet since the beginning, so it was not like she wasn't a normal pet coming in. The Vet just treated her being put down as nothing, just a normal day in his book. The vet didn't do anything I asked of him either. If I'm willing to pay money for you guys to run some test on her (she even has an appointment for labs in a few days), why wouldn't you? If I just asked you to look her to see if something is normal, why didn't you? Instead you told me "she just wants to go to Jesus" as you were putting her down. The vet didn't even say "sorry for your loss". He just told me while I'm sobbing spending the last few minutes with my dead dog, "we close in a hour". That's just only a few thing that happened from that horrible experience, sadly there is lots more to the story.

Imagine dropping your pet off for a kennel stay where they were to have their annual physical conducted during said stay, asking for an exact quote for the services, receiving a quote and signing papers, and then being charged over double what you signed for. This bait and switch is a reality you can face if you choose Dunnellon Animal Hospital who enjoys scamming their clients. Upon pickup, I was told by a different receptionist that my total had doubled, and that the incompetent staff member who gave me the incorrect quote (Misty) had really messed up. The second employee verbalized I shouldn't have to pay more than what I had been expecting (and had been given an exact quote for upon drop off) and had me pay the original quote before I left. I was told the practice manager was going to call me first thing Monday morning, as it was Friday afternoon when this ordeal occurred. Fast forward an entire week of anxiously waiting to hear any kind of communication or even a simple apology for the confusion from anyone in management, and it became clear I was going to have to contact them myself to resolve the situation. I called in Friday afternoon and was met with the most stuck up attitude I may have ever experienced in customer service. This boy refused to let me speak to any kind of manager, and after going around in the same circles of how he claimed I should know their exact pricing by now since I've been a long term client (trying to make it my fault their staff was so incompetent they were off on their quote by almost $150) he took delight in telling me he would just send me to collections. This is not a place I would recommend to anyone, it was made very clear to me there is no care, compassion, or competence in that building. This is a true branch of the medical community; greedy, unscrupulous, and exhibiting interest in profits over patients.

WHY I LEFT DUNNELLEON ANIMAL HOSPITAL AS A CLIENT On Thurs. Feb 2nd ,2023 --I found a lump in my corgis arm and made an Appt. At Dunnelleon Animal Hospital where she was attended to by Dr M. - Being that HJ was a 6 year in remission cancer survivor i was concerned finding this lump - while trying to aspirate the lump Dr M nicked a vein causing HJ to jump and bleed - after aspirating the lump and stopping the bleed- he assessed it was a sarcoma ( cancerous) and wanted to perform surgery to remove the lump the following Thurs to determine if it was a fast growing cancer or slow growing but the fact existed she was no longer in remission and the cancer had resurfaced -- NO OTHER TESTS WERE DISCUSSED , REQUESTED OR PERFORMED on my 11 year old dog that now apparently fallen out of remission JUST THE SUGGESTION BY THE DR THAT SURGERY NEEDED TO BE PERFORMED LUMP HAD TO BE REMOVED -- alarm bells went off in my stomach and head i needed a 2nd opinion. I called her cancer Dr's in Tampa who treated her 6 years prior for stage 3 B- Cell lymphoma -- ALL. Of this info was known to and available to the Dunnelleon staff - i was asked by Oncology did they do a CBC blood panel- NO- Did they do a chest xray to determine if cancer had gone into her lungs before a surgery was suggested-NO - Did they do an abdominal ultrasound to determine any abnormalities of internal organs NO- at that point i was very concerned could she even survive a surgery so i put a call into Dunnelleon - i found out Dr M would NOT be performing the surgery but Dr G who had only been at the practice for 1 year and i had never met - i had questions about the surgery so day after she was seen that Fri 2/3 - i put a call into DR G - left message on his personal answering machine to please call me i would like to at least verbally met him and i had questions about the surgery I NEVER RECEIVED A CALL - day before the surgery was to be held on 2/9- We called Dunnelleon Animal Hospital ( could not get thru on phone had to send and email) to let them know that HJ was put to sleep on Sat 2/4 by UF ER Vets in Ocala -- BUT WAIT -- there is more... -- HJ went down quickly Dunnelleon saw her Thurs by Fri i could tell she was not right by Fri eve bed time she was severely agitated and uncomfortable - throwing up and trying to go to the bathroom -- which was coming out black tar like stool this usually indicates internal bleeding - i had taken a sample in to be analyzed the day HJ saw Dr M - no one mentioned the Stool i even told the tech attending Dr M she had a black tar stool and no one questioned or was concerned -- i don't even think they examined the stool -sample i brought in and handed the receptionist at the front desk When we went to UF ER OCALA they immediately knew what to do for HJ - everything the oncologist suggested over the phone with out needing to be requested, told or asked - xray of lung showed cancer had Not metastasized to lung - Abdominal ultrasound showed bleeding in intestine / mass in the stomach / enlarged spleen and abnormal shaped and questionable liver NONE OF THIS DONE OR REQUESTED BY DR M AT DUNNELLEON JUST IMMEDIATELY SIGNED UP FOR SURGERY -- Then a CBC panel was done --HJ has ZERO-0- platelets- she would have bled out and died on the table had they attempted to perform surgery on her that Thurs 2/9- We were never called the day before the surgery as a reminder or to inquire about our dog who was no longer with us because armed with the proper knowledge given us by UF ER we could make the decision to NO LONGER Allow HJ to suffer and euthanize . We had to email DAH ( Dunnelleon Animal Hospital) to say she left us on 2/4 - WE NEVER heard from DR G who was supposed to perform the surgery even though we placed a call requesting to speak with Him 3 days before and when she passed we got no sorry for your loss - nothing - so we requested our remaining pets records and left the practice -- YOU AS A PET PARENT WE ARE THEIR VOICE -- if you are being told to put out thousands of dollars for surgeries and tests question it - esp if something seems of

The vet was able to take casper within a couple of hours to be put down after I called. They knew this was coming because he had cancer. He was very relaxed in the dog bed that I carried him in with (12 pound maltese). Not acting fidgety or active at all. He was slowing down also at home which is how I knew something was wrong (barely moving at all). The first vet came in and asked if he could give casper shot to make him sleepy and I said yes. He said he would be very sleepy within 5 min and he would return for the final euthanasia shot. I said ok. Tears were streaming down my face the entire time. He came back with another male vet who asked me, "How are you doing?" I just looked him. What a rotten completely thoughtless question to ask in that exact moment. Please stop doing that to people. Casper started acting more and more ANXIOUS (which is NOT like him at all). I could see it CLEARLY in his eyes. He kept looking frantically around the room. He kept acting like he was TRYING to move because uncomfortable like about the vomit or something. I just knew something was WRONG! I have had gone through this experience before, a total of 3 dogs over the years, so I knew exactly what to expect and this was NOT it. Casper was my angel. He did not have a mean bone in his body. He did not deserve his last moments to be like this due to vets just not caring enough. This is basic knowledge because other vets use Propofol to sedate the dog and this place used Telazol (well, I am assuming because I have asked them to tell me what they used but no answer, this is the result I found online after my research which if I had done sooner I could have asked what they use to make sure it is Propofol). This is a COMMON REACTION of Telazol especially with cats who get it the most because people need a relaxed cat as much as possible. The Propofol does NOT cause these effects and I know this because it did NOT happen at all with the other dogs I have put down. How many people have no idea this is happening to their pets in their last moments on earth because they are not able to be there as a witness of it? The vets should know. They just do not care enough. I still have another maltese but I will NOT be taking her back there.

We have been coming the Dunnellon Animal for about a year now. We have found the staff to be very caring for the animals they are taking care of. We have four cats and a dog at home and all of them have received wonderful attention here. Animal owners are very careful and do not let just anyone treat their beloved furred/feathered/scaled friends. We're glad to have found this wonderful establishment for ours.

Being new to the area, we didn't have a local vet. I called several and no one was accepting new clients. I called Dunnellon Animal Hospital and they got me in within a couple of hours. My little Kirby was breathing hard, and needed to be seen. Upon arrival the techs were great and started care immediately. I knew he was in distress and it was going to be a hard thing to do. They wasted no time putting us in a private room and putting our poor baby to sleep. The whole staff was compassionate and beyond helpful. I have two more fur kids at home and will definitely be bringing them here. Thank you so much Dunnellon Animal Hospital for your compassion and care. Your professionalism speaks for itself!

Turned away a dying cat from an existing client. I called in early Tuesday afternoon, desperate to have my cat cared for as she was dying. Was told they could see her next week. Will NEVER return, nor will I recommend this vet to anyone. Ended up at Countyside Animal Hospital in Beverly Hills. Excellent service providers. Well worth the drive.

Have always had good experiences with them until I had my dog spayed while she was in heat, which they knew from the time I called for an estimate and after the surgery the bill was over $100 more. They NEVER told me there was an extra charge for her being in heat. I thought because I told them that it was already in the cost. Super struggling financially and would have put off the surgery if I would've known. Very disappointed. Going to find a new vet for my 5 dogs...

Dr. Morgan is the best. Very knowledgeable and caring for my fur baby. He has treated my previous dog who absolutely adored him and was never frightened. My new dog who is extremely spooky and afraid of everything responds very well to him and is not afraid of him at all. As a matter of fact she'll lay down on the floor and let him do whatever he has to do to her. Also their office is very covid-19 safe because you register outside and they give you a beeper so you can stay in your car and when your time is up you go directly to an examining room. No people are inside waiting in the waiting room. Masks are required or you don't go in.

By far the best. I wouldn't dream of taking my four rescue dogs anywhere else. Our pets have had a variety of different health issues. I am always confident that we will get answers and the correct treatment to help them feel better and live their best life. I love how Dr. Moorman is so down to earth and I am always confident in his answers to my question, "If this were your dog what would you do?" Today we saw Dr. Lauren, whose last name I can't pronounce, and she was wonderful with our service dog Baby. She has to have special medications prior to her shots because she had a reaction to her first adult shots. I didn't have to say anything. They were on top of it. We recently referred our friends there who have 3 dogs. Two itty bitty Yorkie girl puppies and an older Labrador Retriever. They had been to several veterinarians over the years and just were not happy. Mike went in to make the first appointment for the puppies and told us that he felt better, like they were in a better place already, when just making the appointment. After the first visit for their puppies he and his wife feel like my husband and I do. Total confidence. Today I mentioned that we had referred them and mentioned their names and the front desk staff remembered the dog's names and the names of our friends. It was so sweet! They have spayed all of our girls and one of our dogs gets occasional lumps where some of them, one close to her eye, have had to be surgically removed. Although it can be scary we have complete confidence in them. So glad we found them when we moved here almost 14 years ago. We tried two others first and we are staying with this group!!!!

Unable to diagnose. Was referred to Blue Pearl in Tampa on two occasions for a diagnoses four years apart with two different cats. In both cases, Blue Pearl told me that they were 99% sure that it was heart failure, and that they needed to do an echo cardiogram to be sure. Well, at the end of the day, and thousands of dollars later, they were wrong, Thank God, and in both cases, I left there being told that they didn't know what the problem was either, and a handful of pills to "Try" and let them know what happens. The staff at Dunnellon Animal Hospital is friendly, and it's probably a convenient place to get food, if you're in the area, and don't mind paying a bit more. When I went for the last time, the vet that sent me to Blue Pearl twice asked in a tone of shock and insensitivity " Is that cat still alive?" Yes, no thanks to you people ! Sorry, I think killing deer for recreation in your spare time, is a conflict of interest, and speaks volumes about who's caring for your pet.
