The guy behind the desk was very friendly and helpful. The kayaking was great. It was peaceful and scenic. The water was very tranquil and clear. It was about a 2.5 - 3 hour paddle on Rainbow River, and you're paddling downstream so it's relatively easy.It's worth bringing a ziploc bag to put your wallet, keys, and phone in, and having a pocket or pouch that zips up to prevent it from falling out into the water.

Took the family for a birthday in October. The drop off to the launch was fast and seamless, the paddle was smooth and pick-up was speedy. The drivers were helpful and informative. Definitely recommend this company. The paddle sells itself with the water and animals: variety of birds, turtles, gators, otters and crystal blue water with many fish.

Awesome place and experience the water is crystal clear. This was the 1st time a friend and I have ever been kayaking in our lives, and did just fine, neither of of tipped over. The staff was super friendly and professional. Listening to their tips and instructions before you go on the shuttle, and you'll do just fine. Will definitely go again.

Wonderful natural crystal clear river, and the canoes, kayaks, and safety gear were all top notch. The required river map pre-briefing gave us confidence to know we were on the right path, and to avoid distractions and detours. The gentle current is fast enough for people floating in tubes, and the canoes and kayaks gave us flexibility in choosing where and how fast we wanted to go. The crew was most friendly and helpful, and several members of our group had never canoed before. They were given everything needed to make the trip as pleasant and enjoyable as it was for the experienced sailors.

If this is your first time visiting a spring, it is unlike anything you’ve seen before. Extremely clear water with an abundance of wildlife! Highly recommend bringing snorkel gear if you have it. Water will be on the chilly side year round so prep accordingly. Rainbow river canoe & kayak were a great company to rent from with no complications.

Great experience from setting up the reservation by phone, to arriving at their business, to the bus ride, to paddling back down the river. Beautiful scenery, easy to paddle, go early in the morning!

Don't be confused by the other company with a similar name. Always rent from the RR company with the river otter mascot. 1. parking is private and safe. 2. bathrooms are exceptional. 3. shower available. 4. knowledgeable staff, knows the springs and river well. 5. staff helps you in and out of kayaks. 6. return ramp is on company property (the other guys use a public dock with no assistance and then you call and wait till they pick you up and drive you back to their office that has porto potties - yuck).

Make a reservation and save 10%Everyone was so kind and helpful. Definitely recommend them for canoe and kayak needs. The rainbow River is absolutely stunning! We paddled about 30min up river then back down took us a out 3 1/2 hours. Definitely worth it!

The Rainbow River is an experience like no other. The Guides and staff at Rainbow River Canoe & Kayak made the experience effortless and fun. Their pricing is fair, they provide great details for discovering the river, and they’re just all-around kind people. Quick to respond, easy to work with. If you have a different experience, they must be busy or you’re difficult to deal with :)We try our best to visit these areas during their slower times of the year, and get on the water as early as possible. We rented paddle boards, as the higher perspective (plus polarized sunglasses) results in better views. The basic route can be done in less than 2 hours, yet we spent 6+ hours exploring. After launching at KP Hole, we went up current to Rainbow River State Park. From there, it is all down current. Take the time and effort to investigate all side coves and creeks.Longer days, more time to enjoy various spots on the water, and more wildlife experiences. We saw many types of birds, fish, turtles, and otters. Take your time and enjoy!

Omg this was so the best! We are two sisters in our late fifties. One of us (okay, I am the one) is not at all athletic. We enjoyed the canoe for the extra space for all the extra clothes we brought but did not need in the perfect T shirt weather. We visited in mid January. Come in the winter! Avoid the crowds but do bring sunscreen.I saw more birds than people on the river!
