Don't try and attempt to go between 10 AM till 7 PM they'll have one cashier working and a line wrapping around the store waiting to check out, if your not retired avoid unless you have time to waste!

I went in to return some seasonal items. I don’t know why, but it must’ve seemed like the gates of hell had opened loose. There was a specific cashier grumbling under their breath passive aggressively, wanting to go on break, telling other customers to stop coming into their lane. When I finally was next,, she sent me out of line to another employee To deal with it. She really must have wanted to get out of there. The other employee ended up “dealing with it”, going to get her manager. She was waiting outside the manager door, almost too antsy to knock since the manager went in their when things got busy. The manager should have hopped on to help the rush. so I ended up going to the other store up the street to deal with it. The only decent employee is the man with a mask on.

Great items. Always find something different every time I go there I love that there's fresh bread donuts and pastries always available. I always end up getting more storage dishes you can't be getting bowls with lids and more gadgets different size bags for freezing and also measuring items for baking with decorating candies and different colors for icing beautiful cake. Cleaning a party is always easy and it cost less than $10 to decorate just about any occasion.. it's also really nice finding those inexpensive art supplies and decorating ideas for changing

Spent $40 on Christmas decorations. Stopped at the gumball machines by the door. It’s only 50 cents but they told me well sometimes those machines don’t work. Courtney has a bad attitude and very disrespectful. If the machine doesn’t work they should put them out of order, not just take your money and say “ oh well..”

I found what I needed. The cashiers are friendly but would be nice if they had some self check out lanes to make checking out faster.

First let me say this is only half about this specific store/employees, the other half is the company as a whole. I shop at the dollar tree all the time, ALL THE TIME, lol, but it was brought to my attention this evening that the company does not offer returns, even same day(literally about a half hour after original purchase) with the receipt. Now I get it, the stuff is cheap, but this day in age every penny counts right? And if you realize you don't need something, you don't need it; apparently at dollar tree the policy is either keep the stuff you don't need, or exchange it for other stuff you obviously didn't need either otherwise you already would've bought it. Now, I'll look into length of time I have to exchange and I'm sure be back blah blah blah, still a stupid, ridiculous policy. However, I get corporate policy, and that store employees have zero control over it, what they do have control over is how they relay said policy. The way I was informed was rude and disrespectful and honestly instead of leaving feeling bummed but understanding, they actually escalated my ire and motivated me to write this review, which I don't really do that often unless it's positive typically. I get it, the policy is very clear on the receipt, and if I had come in yelling at you and being rude to you, you might be tempted to match that energy and put me in my place, but all I did was ask the question and then have the audacity to be surprised and frustrated by the policy; and instead of just being like "yeah I know that sucks, I'm sorry", I got, "we've never taken returns and it clearly says it right on the receipt" in a tone I can only describe as haughty and condescending. Ok, but I've never needed to make a return before and I assumed a huge company like dollar tree would be like every other decent company and take back a product that hasn't even been in my home yet, the nerve of me! Anyway, this is way too long winded for the amount of money lost but I am really getting frustrated with customer service employees being annoyed by the mere existence of customers. I myself have been in customer service jobs my entire working career and was trained very differently; you kiss the customers butt, THEN go yell or talk shit about them in the back!:P

To the young lady employeed there, who had to put up with a middle aged man's tantrum, I commend you. You are a true professional. He must be truly miserable with his life.

WOW. I don’t write a bad review unless I’m really disappointed with my visit. Today is 2/19/23 (Sunday). Around 12:45 I was in line at checkout. I gently placed my items down. When it was my turn to be checked out the cashier asked me where the bag was for the item I was purchasing. It was one of those stackable cloth type square items you can store things in. It was the last brown colored one, and for whatever reason, it wasn’t in its bag and I wanted to purchase it. The cashier, first thing out of her mouth was “where’s the bag for this?” I told her there wasn’t one (obviously someone opened it) but I wanted to buy it. She automatically started with a miserable angry attitude. She proceeded by tossing, my items around and was not pleasant AT ALL. I nicely said “can you please stop tossing my things around.” In a calm voice. She argued with me and was extremely unprofessional. She then proceeded to tell me she is not going to check me out, cancelled my things she rang up and told me to go to the register behind her. I understand customer service is EXTREMELY stressful these days, people have bad days as well, but my gosh she was not a happy person with a very bad attitude. I was pretty shocked with the way she treated me. She had a very long ponytail, looked like she was in her 20’s, I’m not sure, but management HAD to have heard what she was saying because she was the one behind her at the checkout she told me to go to. And the manager was sweet as pie. If you hate your job that much, get out of customer service and find something less stressful and demanding. Some people can’t handle it, and that’s OK. But she can very well find another type of job that doesn’t require being around so many people/strangers. It cause’s problems for the customers and for the employer/employee. Maybe she needs a break or a vacation.
