Wonderful place to stay with the view of the river. Very quiet and the breeze feels so good. Also, it has a Bistro below with excellent food. Adjacent to it is the Village Grocer and bank, which are both convenient.

I spent many Summer's here in Dowling Park and my StepMother worked at the only small grocery store in the Advent Christian village my entire life her name is Brenda and my Daddy Tracy Batten he cut meat there at that same Village grocery store for many many years. I grew up riding horses and swimming in the Suwannee River right there in Dowling Park at the boat dock. I can remember riding my Daddy's favorite horse Bill to the Jiffy (gas station) and getting myself a cold drink and some boiled peanuts and then I'd ride Bill on over to the boat dock and I'd tie Bill's up to a tree so he could graze alil while I swam in the Suwannee River .. Some days I'd ride Bill my Daddy's horse down into the river and as Bill got out far enough I'd let loose of his reins and I'd swim beside him. I sure do miss being there I'll forever hold on to my memories. My Daddy went on to the Lord September 10th 2005 and I'll never forget how precious my time was all those years I got to spend in Dowling Park Florida ❤️

Beautiful right on the Suwannee river. Covered wrap around porch overlooking the River. Very comfortable, great free internet wifi. I loved everything about the Lodge except no nearby restaurants-so get a room with fridge and microwave so you can eat
