September 2024 by Timothy Byrne
Very annoyed and left this cleaners feeling very disrespected. Enough so, that I actually felt the need to write a review which I never do. I dropped off two pairs of shoes to get simple repairs in early August. The lady at the front desk was kind enough and unsure about the pricing which was fine. I received a call from Lisa about a week later specifically telling me that the toll on the order would come out to roughly $65 for both repairs. I agreed and thought it was a reasonable price for the simple repairs. To be fair the work was good. I picked up my shoes on September 3 and was told that the total was $112.00. I was confused and mentioned that I did not agree to this total. The lady Lisa was very disrespectful. And very nasty to me when I brought this up in a fairly courteous manner. I understand miscommunications and I don’t want to squabble over nickels and dimes, but I left feeling VERY disrespected. A truly horrible experience. Especially for a first time, customer. Very shiesty business practices. Won’t ever be going back there!!! No customer or no person should ever be treated like that.

I have been bringing my clothes and shoes here for years. Not anymore.
The team took in my white blazer. It was new. I had a small spot on a lapel. Lisa took it in. When I came back a few days later, there were marks all down the back side of the jacket. Linda was there again, and apologized saying she knew the jacket wasn’t in that condition when she took it from me.
Fast Forwarding:
1) Millie & Lisa are very nice and are trying to get the owner, Sanjay, to do what’s right— replace my jacket.
2) They’ve had the jacket for several weeks now. In efforts to remove the stains they made, they’ve soaked the jacket… causing it to shrink, the fabric fibers to shrivel and a shoulder pad to come out!
3) I’ve placed so many calls to Sanjay. Each has gone unanswered. It’s absolutely horrifying. After spending what I imagine is a quite a sum of money here all these years… when they make a mistake, instead of just saying it happens and then standing up to replace the jacket, Sanjay is hiding. I’ve never met him. I’ve only known his name and number because the team said I needed to call him to discuss the damage.
Well, Sanjay, I’m ready to discuss the damage! Why aren’t you returning my calls?

I do not recommend at all. Took a pair a sandals that was a simple repair for a cobbler. 25 days later they weren’t done I spoke to them and basically got a run around. Picked them up the following week and moved on.

Swift is my longtime go-to spot for laundry and tailoring needs. The employees are always friendly, the text notifications are helpful, and they have never lost or damaged my clothing. On top of that, the location can’t be beat for downtown Delray residents.

AVOID this business at all costs. Absolutely horrible. Go to Iris cleaners or Aloha cleaners instead. I wish I could give them a -100 and wish I read the reviews before going here, I would have known better. Any positive reviews are fake, they give discounts to people who promise to leave a good review. Milly who works at the front just got in an altercation with me. She is very aggressive, hostile, beyond unprofessional and frightening. I dropped off 5 pairs of shoes on January 6th, 2024. They told me 10 business days... I go back after 17 and they said some are done and one pair I specifically needed for NYC was missing. The shoe repair man too them home with him and then went on vacation without warning. What kind of operation is this. The guy just takes off without any notice? Milly says shes going to "try and track down my shoes". I hear nothing from her, I call her and try to actually track her down. I literally have to call the business 20 times, during my work week just so someone can get back to me. Finally, she says there in the guys house but thinks she can get them. She tells me to come to the shop, which I do. I leave work early to get there in time and when I get there she has left for the day. She shows no concern for the customer, let alone any embarrassment that this business is run horribly and everyone is incompetent. There's a clueless teenage boy working the desk, he calls her and she said oh, well if we need to replace them we can and ship them to new york. These boots were $250 when I purchased them, and she was also planning on shipping them, which would add to the cost that SWIFT would have to incur. They keep trying to placate and distract me and say oh, but your other shoes are ready. I say, as they should its been a month now, and you still not only don't have my shoes, you dont know when they will return. The 4 other shoes that were ready total over $4,000. They are lucky they didn't lose those, you would think these non-designer ones they would be elated to pay me for. No. They are scam artists, indecent and don't care about customer satisfaction, let alone getting return customers. I take my 4 pairs of shoes and tell the kid at the front that I am not paying my $144 bill lol. 1, because my order is incomplete, 2. because i just had to hound and call and track them down for a week and spent so much time trying to figure this out for myself since no one cared, 3. because I would think that if they were prepared to replace these shoes, ship them they would be happy to just eat the cost of my bill in order to save a customer. A customer who is local, who is part of this community, has family and friends who go there. I go to nyc, she calls me while im there saying she found them. I get back to florida, now on march 12 and go to pick up my shoes. Thinking they would be mortified, and apologetic and try to salvage their reputation and do right by me. But no, I go and ask for my shoes, Milly says pay your balance and I said no, this has been a horrendous experience. She threatens me and says pay or you don't get your shoes. I said are you serious, you are taking my shoes from me? She said youre not getting them unless you pay. I said ok I will pay, but I will write this on yelp so everyone knows about this. She SNATCHES the boots out of my hand so aggressively and says no you don't get the boots now, im not having you write a yelp post about me. She attempts to call the owner, Sanjay. No answer. This is all over $144 dollars....lol. Any idiot would see that not only did the business win by eating the $144 because they would have retained a customer, their family and friends and their reputation. I pay the bill to get my shoes back, after this crazy altercation. All on video. Again, do not go here. Go to Iris or aloha. They don't care about their customers, or doing the right thing. They will screw you over, guaranteed and when they do, they won't care, accost you and will make you feel like you got conned. They are conn artists. I will be charging
