I was texted a scam alert, got to the bank, and Melissa fixed everything and the nicest person you'd want to help you. Thank you

Worst bank ever . More like a Cash Money Mart . Zero Customer Service , personnel with the right knowledge , zero ability to solve their own problems., Truist will take your money and tie it up their bogus policies . Basically , they are so small with not enough money behind them they run the place like an institution or jail for your money . Got my money out and went to TD Bank. Night and day experience . Truist Bank … you’re the worst . If you’re a Canadian … be prepared for the most frustrating experience of your life .!!!

They told me my payment would be APPROXIMATELY 526.00 a month for my HELOC. I'm using it for debt relief. My ACTUAL payment is 1290.00 which is MORE then paying my original bills separately. Way more!! Thanks Ashanti!! I'm going to try another bank for a mortgage and pay these people off. I can only imagine, WHAT PENALTY COSTS WOULD BE. STAY AWAY!!! Now they have put me into possible bankruptcy.

Husband and wife went to get a simple document notarized. Branch leader refused service because only the wife's name was on the account at the bank. This may be the rule at the new bank, but it is lousy customer service. We never had this problem at Sun Trust.

Used them for business checking account, they charged 5 overdraft fees for 2 accidental transactions. Not willing to return any of the fees dues to relationship with the bank. Only 1 year old account.Called local branch dozens of times and left 3 voicemails (over 5 day period) and did not get one return call. Will never use again, stay away from this Banking institution.

Since Truist took over, you can’t get anything done….especially on the phone. I’m looking at moving my accounts elsewhere.

In process of switching name and services after merger with BB&T. New name Truist. Reason for lower star rating is closure of close offices and inability of ATM to accept deposits until after merger completion next week. After 30 years of association with Bank some changes lessen appreciation

There's not one time I come to this location and I'm not waiting forever for them to process something.. it's like they move on slow people time .. A sense of urgency would be highly recommend.

I have never had good experiences with this bank. They tried to make me wait over an hour to close my account. I took all the money except 0.32 cents and they have been sending me monthly statements for years which costs more than my account. They really should have just let me close my account. Very miss managed

Worst Bank in the WORLD. I opened a business account 9 months ago and have had no access to use it (deposit /withdraw / etc). I was told opening an account would be easy – After the day of which I opened the account- HORRIBLE. I have tried to reset the pin on my card since I couldn’t use it both on phone and in store and was told to call in/go to different locations- No one could help!? I’ve been getting charged $3 a month for paper billing and was not allowed to change it because every time I went to a branch, called to close the account and waited HOURS to speak with a “business banker” (while they chatted it up at the water cooler)- was not allowed to because of funds in the account, wrong staff on duty, etc. I even took a whole day off of work to close the account 3 weeks ago only to find the atlantic branch is closed and when I went to the other location and waited for 1.5 HOURS! They advised the system to close business accounts wasn’t working and no one was on staff to override. I was not able to change addresses on my paper billing, so I spent the last 9 months getting billed for nothing! Currently Im now 4 hrs into phone calls trying to verify my account and preparing to drive AGAIN to a branch to hopefully close this account out once and for all. I've logged over 100 hrs trying to adjust/make changes/get access to my acount over the last 9-10 months and had ZERO results... Horrible- Stole my money for fees and services charges and depleted my account and I literally never even used it but once! STAY FAR FAR AWAY!

My trust in SunTrust Bank has been eroded. My auto loan ending in 4426 ended due to a vehicle fire. My insurance company (USAA) worked with SunTrust to pay off the loan owed. Strangely, the loan payoff requested did not match the loan payoff amount actually owed. The insurance company's payoff left a 3K+ balance which I reluctantly agreed to pay after receiving my insurance claim amount. My trust in SunTrust Bank began to weaken because it was strange to have a misquoted payoff amount between an established bank and USAA. I focused on paying MORE than the monthly amount. Whenever I paid, the "amount due" continued to rise (Example: Monthly amount due is $100 due on Oct 11th. I pay $200 on Sept 28th. New "amount due" is $370 STILL DUE ON OCT 11. I was paying over the due amount and the amount do was not subtracting, it was growing! In addition, I was incurring late fees. I called the customer service hotline and found out SUNTRUST BANK APPLIES YOUR PAYMENTS WHERE THEY WANT TO PLACE THEM. IF YOU TRY TO PAY EARLY, ON TIME OR PAY OFF A PAST AMOUNT, YOU MIGHT CONTINUE TO OWE (Example: Owed is $100. Payed $200. The next month, you owe $370 PLUS a late fee). The customer service associate says it's safest to MAKE PAYMENTS BY PHONE CALL AND DIRECT WHERE YOUR PAYMENT NEEDS TO BE APPLIED. I do not feel safe working with SunTrust Bank. One's credit could be affected due to non-transparent banking practices. No confidence.

I've got to disagree with No Name. We've had a great experience with them. Christina B is a great branch manager. She really goes above and beyond for us. And no SunTrust is not a client of ours. They're just really great with customer services for businesses based on our experiences.

Branch manager is useless. FSAs are awesome, friendly, professional, and polite.
