I give a one star because the car at least was somewhat represented correctly in paint color. I bought this car through a Pedigree Motorcars Bring a Trailer auction sight unseen. I depended on the honesty of the owner , a Mr. Ken Baker, and he guaranteed a 100% turn key vehicle. Having bought vehicles remotely before and with the great reputation of the Bring a Trailer company I paid way over market value for a clean 2008 Cadillac DTS. Ken mentioned no oil leaks from the historically trouble prone NorthStar known for engine oil leaks. That was the selling point for me. When I received the car it had multiple oil leaks from the engine. He blamed it on environmental factors. It also smells like oil when driving the vehicle with the HVAC running which he claimed no knowledge of. He also did not mention that the front seat had been replaced. On a car with a reputed 56k miles on the clock it makes you scratch your head for the reason why. Since I have owned in the last month I have had to replace 3 out of 4 tire pressure sensors and 2 Stabilitrak sensors. I will have to replace multiple engine gaskets according to my mechanic. Gaskets - cheap, Labor - expen$ive. I contacted Ken who claimed no knowledge and that if I didn't like the vehicle I should sell it rather then work with me. I contacted Bring a Trailer and they agreed with me and refunded me a sizable figure to make up for the seller's dishonesty. They have also notated this in their records if he has another BAT listing. I recommend that you do not buy a vehicle from Pedigree Motorcars. Thank you.

Ken has been a pleasure and an asset to get to know! We have actually done a couple of very smooth transactions. What I really like about this guy is that when I just have questions about a classic car, and a car that I have interest elsewhere, Ken always takes the time to help and educate me. I had the pleasure of purchasing a classic vehicle from Mr.Baker and everything was done in a professional manner! The way the vehicle was described in the summary was correct and then some! Mr. Baker Is very knowledgeable and trustworthy, and has some of the very best Classic cars I have ever seen! He has made many dreams come true! I thank him for the enjoyable experience that Pedigree Motors gave me!

Ken the owner is generally a good guy with nice inventory, but my engagement didn’t end well. A car that I was in the process of purchasing was going through a 100.00 paid inspection that Ken knew as I used who he recommended for the inspection. All this happened in the process of 3-4 days with Ken growing impatient and selling the car out from under me to another buyer, now my skin is not so thin that I don’t understand the car game and surely disappointed I didn’t get the car and have no pleasure leaving this review but to not REFUND me Ken the 100.00 for a inspection that you knew I was doing and helped me with while selling the car under me is totally not cool and unacceptable. That you didn’t understand this and REFUND me is beyond me and beneath the dealership I thought I was dealing with.

Ken at Pedigree Motorcars has an amazing knowledge of collector cars and the Classic Car market in general. I believe his many years of experience in the industry make him both knowledgeable and trustworthy. I've had the pleasure of dealing with Pedigree on several occasions now and overall I would say if you're in the market for a vintage / classic automobile, Pedigree Motorcars is absolutely worth checking out.

A measure of a great company is not only how it treats its clients, but how it treats its vendors. Pedigree excels in both areas.
