Earlier this year I bought a 2016 Camaro convertible from Carroll Chevy that Carroll originally sold from new and had serviced all years. 6 months and 2.000 miles after I bought it the black top had changed color to white/gray. A convertible specialist inspected it and told me that the top had been dyed and now lost the color. I asked the Service Director, Kevin Stuckey, at Carroll for help but I was just told to shut up and go away. I asked them to treat me like they wished to be treated themselves in a similar situation, but they are just ignoring all my e-mails. I have never experienced such an arrogant, unkind and unfair car-dealer. After you have given them your money, they treat you like sh*t.

Customer service guy was like dealing with a robot, no humanity, no compassion, nothing. Passive-aggressive behavior, knowing they have total control over us little peasants (customers). Nobody in the whole place looked happy, no smiles, nothing. They overcharge and they don't care about customers at all. No wonder this place has such a bad rating. Never going back there again!

Where do even start? Do I start with how they completely ruined my alignment and now I have to replace my rear tires at my own expense? Do I start with the fact that never in my life have I met a service rep that was as rude and smug as their service rep was? Do I start with the fact that the service manager refused to even see me and said if I had an issue, to call Chevrolet. What a horrible dealership. What a horrible experience. Avoid at all cost. You have been warned. PS. When I told them I would leave them a bad review, the service rep literally said they don't care.... Because nobody reads online reviews. Prove them wrong. Take your business elsewhere.

Update: I spoke to JC, the gen manager, and he basically cussed me out and said I was a f****** nightmare. He said there is no way they would back out of the loan and he abruptly hung up on me The FL General Attorney's office called me this morning and we discussed how to proceed with the case and filing charges. The Saga I attempted to purchase a vehicle from Starling Chevrolet Deland. The finance man, Christian, insisted I sign a contract that day and assigned it to Wells Fargo, he said they agreed to finance. I wanted to wait and go through my credit union, but he would not agree to that.so, I signed the contract and took the car. Two weeks later I had not heard anything, so I contacted WF and they have never heard of me. They said he never submitted my information to them. I contacted Christian and he said WF fell through because I couldn't figure out my income. I had already received a check to REfinance from Navy Federal credit Union but it was unusable because Wells Fargo didn't finance. So he asked if I could finance through NFCU. It took several days because they had to cancel the refinance loan before they can submit a new loan request. He sent me a new contract to sign because it was a new financer. I asked him if it was really necessary and he said yes that you have to sign a new contract if changing financer. NFCU did not work out. ---Finance guy then asked me if he could send me a new contract for GM because they agreed to finance but at 14% not 7% like NFCU. ---I said NO absolutely not I'm returning the car. I am not signing a contract, I do not want this vehicle, it's been too much chaos. He asked if he could send a driver to bring the contract. I said no you can send a driver to pick up the car. I have all this in writing/texts. I never heard from them again. About a week later (a week ago) I got a notice from my Equifax app saying a new line of credit had been opened in my name. I looked and it was an auto loan through Starling Chevrolet Deland! But I NEVER SIGNED A CONTRACT. ---Later found out JC took the deal away from finance man and did it himself, You are so desperate to make a sale, Especially one that was so overpriced and complete price gouging, that he was willing to go to document and ruin my financial life... Just to make a bit of money. ---I've been in regular contact with GM and GM Financial services and they have opened a FRAUD investigation because they said he fraudulently submitted the contract. He crossed out Wells Fargo and wrote GM above it. Apparently, he also increased my income to make it look like I made more money so that they would approve the loan. I also lost one of my jobs during this time frame so my income is only half of what he submitted to GM, so that was fraudulent as well. And the loan is for about $2000 higher than the amount we agreed on. According to 5 attorneys I have spoken to and GM Financial, The dealer needs to back out of the loan since it is fraud. However, I won't go in alone to return the car and insist they back out because the environment is full of toxic masculinity, all men and they all yell. If I go in as a single woman, they will spin everything and make me think I'm wrong and crazy. ------- To reiterate and sum up: Starling Deland forged a contract and opened an auto loan with GM for $23,000 in my name without my permission and without my knowledge. It was dated 4/4 even though it was 5/10. During that interval I lost one of my jobs which cut my income in half. So the information he submitted to GM was false. Had they confirmed with me, they would have known this. But no one would take my calls. To this day at the dealership has never told me that they opened a loan. The initial payment was due last week but I could not pay it since it is not mine. As a result it will affect my credit score which I've worked really hard to increase over the last year. It's completely unjust that my credit score should be hurt because they opened up a fraudulent loan in my name.

Two hours to get an oil change, and I had an appointment ! It's just not satisfactory. It doesn't take more than 15-20 minutes for oil change, and you shouldn't set appointments if you can't start the work REASONABLY close to the appointment time. I will be going elsewhere for my next service.

SCAM ALERT!!!! Went in to look at a preowned vehicle. After the test drive and during the negotiations I was falsely told that my credit score was not as good as I thought and that my interest rate would be much higher. I had already been approved through my own bank so I just left because if they are going to try and scam people like that I will not do business with them.

I called the sales person and they said oh well it's owned by the owners brother that's not our dealership. I said to her, you should tell the owner to get a different last name for his dealership.

BEWARE if you want to lease a car here. They HIDE a $396 "DISPOSITION FEE" in their leasing contracts that you HAVE TO PAY if you don't lease another car or buy one from them when the lease ends. It's totally RIDICULOUS and they NEVER informed me or my 78 YEAR-OLD MOTHER about this when she signed 4 years ago OR when I returned the car recently. SHE IS NOT ABLE TO DRIVE ANYMORE and they WOULD NOT waive the fee. SHAME ON THEM for taking advantage of her with such an UNFAIR, ARBITRARY and PREDATORY fee. I will NEVER recommend Chevrolet to anyone ever again!!

Drove from Odessa to Orlando to look at a truck, with an appointment. Arrived to find the truck was sold that morning. No call from them to tell me not to come out. All the sales rep could do was tell us "We are a car dealership, we sell lots of cars". No apology for their error in not contacting us. When advised they need to work on communication with customers, he doubled down and advised us they are a car dealership and we should have called before coming out to verify the vehicle was still there. Small dealership that thinks they are big. If your in the Tampa area, do not waste your time with this place. There are plenty of big dealers that will treat you right. Ferman did is good and we closed a deal the same day. If you're in Orlando, go anywhere else.

I went to this dealership to see a 2017 conversion van they had on the lot since January,2020. They were asking $39,759 for the van. Not an ounce of wax on the exterior and the paint was bubbling. The inside was not detailed. Sales person knew very little about the van. Overall, a very poor experience. I can see why this dealership has a 2 star rating.

Yesterday I had the absolute WORSE experience at Starling Chevy Cadillac in Deland, FL. I inquired online about a Mercedes that I was prepared to buy, but I just needed some more information on it. I later received a call from Brooke at the dealership who advised me that they could explain everything about the vehicle if I come in. I DROVE an hour away to the dealership only to be surrounded by a group of salesman who had no knowledge about the Mercedes on their lot. While test driving the vehicle with salesperson Ray, I began asking questions about the car. Ray's response was, "all I know is these cars are expensive & hard to maintain." I felt completely insulted, as I had previously told him I've owned Jaguars and BMW's before. I then realized the car was a little shaky and the service light was ignited, so I asked about that. Once again, Ray had no knowledge about service for the vehicle, and didn't seem to care to find out anything for me. Frustrated, after test driving the vehicle I walked up to managers, Pete and Jeff, to discuss the experience I just had with Ray. In the most condescending way, Jeff replies, "oh that's not good... I'll have to talk with him." Never once did either of the other salesmen, Daniel or Carlos, try to step in and answer my questions. The two sales-managers, Jeff and Pete, never even got out of their seats to formally introduce themselves, or try to rectify the situation. Despite not having any knowledge about the vehicle, I would have thought I could have at least received good customer service. I was WRONG! I have never pulled the race card, but I truly believe that these white men didn't think I was financially capable of purchasing this vehicle. Having that thought in their head lead every single one of them to disrespect and dismiss me. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. In a time where their car dealership is completely EMPTY, I wasn't even worthy of a formal greeting. No one deserves to be treated this way. It was disgusting and highly unprofessional. Terrible experience here at Starling of Deland!! Brought my car in here for a second opinion, it had an AC issue. Told them what was going on with it and they did an evacuate and recharge of the Freon and they also replaced AC compressor. Got car back and still had the same issue a week later. Brought it back and now they replace the driver side actuator ( my initial complaint was passenger side actuator ) get car back and STILL same issue with passenger side blowing hot air. I am now $1075 into this and they still have not fixed the issue. I was pissed and they are now wanting to replace the passenger side actuator for another $980!! They are denying I ever mentioned the passenger side issue and will not fix the correct side unless I pay the $980!! This is robbery!! I have contacted GM and opened up a case against them and a lawyer is next. Save yourself the frustration and empty pockets and go somewhere else!! I have worked in the industry for over 15 years and I have never seen or been around this kind of b*********
