Nick is really an excellent mechanic. He does a lot of work for the friends in south deltona. I personally don't use anyone else for working on my cars.

I called and spoke with a gentlemen about my Suzuki Forenza and the issues it had. He was more than helpful by letting me know what the issue was and the best and most affordable way of correcting it. These guys are top notch, I highly recommend them for any automotive needs, repairs or information.

Nick was recommended to us by a friend that owns a used car lot and uses him for all his cars. Since then, we have been using Probest for our car repairs. He talks to me respectfully and sometimes even gives me too much credit for car knowledge, where other repair shops take advantage of women and talk like you're stupid. Nick is always trying to do what the car really needs, instead of just doing extra to make money. Our cars have been running great and we've been using him for years. I know I can trust him and his advice and work.

I would NEVER recommend Probest Auto to anyone!! I took my car in due to jerking and clunking at certain speeds. Nick attached his diagnostic machine to my car to retrieve the codes which indicated that the car had a bad O2 sensor. However, Nick advised that the symptoms my car was having were not due to an O2 sensor and he instead recommended a transmission flush as well as replacement of a motor mount. He ended up also having to replace a transmission mount. When I got the car back, it was still jerking at the same speeds. At this point, Nick advised me that the issue had to be the transmission and he recommended replacement. He replaced the transmission with a used one from a junk yard. He did not bother to seek out a rebuilt transmission instead. At this point, I had already paid $2000 in attempt to fix my car. When I got my car back, it was still jerking but even worse than before. I took it to another mechanic who placed it on his diagnostic machine and he advised that it was the O2 sensor and that it should have been replaced before anything else had been done to my car. He advised that the whole point of the diagnostic machine and codes was to point a mechanic to the first issue that should be addressed when fixing a car. He printed me out the codes that were diagnosed which clearly stated "engine runs rough, missing or stumbling." I called Nick back and requested that he replace the O2 sensor free of charge as the code very clearly stated the exact symptom my car was experiencing. I sent him the printout and he said that I never told him my car was stumbling. I told him I had said my car was jerking which was the exact same thing and I told him he had test driven the car and he was the mechanic so he should have known. He advised he would cover the cost of the sensor but that I would have to pay for his labor. I told him that I would not be paying for anything because he had already charged me $2000 without fixing the problem. He then said he would replace the sensor but after that he was "done with me." The total cost for the O2 sensor and install would have been about $300 as quoted by the other mechanic. Nick made me spend $2000 unnecessarily since he refused to listen to his own diagnostic machine which clearly stated it was an O2 sensor issue. It is apparent that he was trying to make a quick buck off me and did not care how much I had to spend to do so. I will NEVER return to Probest Auto ever again and I would recommend to anyone who did that they obtain a second opinion before hiring Nick to work on their vehicle. I debated taking him to small claims court to get my $2000 back but it's not worth the headache. Good riddance Probest Auto!!!!
