November 2023 by Deland Cat Cafe
The best vibe in Deland for animal lovers. There have been many improvements to the property. The animals are clean, healthy and safe. The staff and new management are kind, hard working and giving this sanctuary new life.

I worked here back when Florence ran the place. I loved it there. I came back to visit early this year. Florence didn't run it anymore. She was still there. We laughed and had a great time. The person running it now is not a great person. Anyone who comes there can see it. ?

A highlight of my experience in volunteerism. I came by to help between 2013-2016 and I still remember this place. Such a lovely mission.

The animals here are not able to be adopted. They have disabilities and conditions, including fear from a history of being abused. The house and the grounds are huge. The animals are clean and having the best lives they can. This includes a 17 year old grey hound who was friendly. All of the staff was friendly and welcoming. I’m definitely going to donate. And possibly volunteer.

Journeys End Pet sanctuary is a gift from God. 94 year old Florence took it upon herself to turn her mansion into a safe haven for unadoptable animals. Like dogs in wheelchairs, disabled cats, etc. It's an amazing place! Florence is definitely an angel. ????

Deplorable conditions. Too many animals. Filthy. The animals need to be rescued from Journeys End…

Volunteered here for a short time and this place is nothing other than a guise for animal hoarding. It is disgusting, rank and filth coat every single surface imaginable and the smell is strong enough to make you gag from the driveway. The people are nice and i understand the cause but this is not the way to go about it. Tons and tons of animals jam packed into every possible space. There is no way to properly care for this many animals in this kind of environment. There is no way this healthy for the volunteers and animals to be there every single day breathing in that air.

We found a cat that was badly injured and about to die. They helped us when no one else would.

They have so many cute dogs and cats and the people there are really nice. I took my son there and he had a blast seeing all the dogs and cats. We will be going here again in the near future

I LOVE Florence. She started Journeys End 40 years ago and it is clear that she has, and continues to pour her heart into it. She loves taking care of God's little innocents. She is a joy to converse with, quick witted and exuberant.

Very odd indeed.. somthings amiss over there. Hearts in right place but woman who is owner is very elderly and blind. It seems a very few select younger "care takers" guard her and chooses who and when she has visitors. Her and I agreed to meet one morning by phone, but when I got there I was turned away by a animal "caretaker", saying she didn't want visitors..interesting..
